"Isn't that the same motive behind ISIS and Al Queda? They just want the world to leave them alone so they can live in peace and eliminate those that do not agree with them." Perhaps that's one reason. Another reason I have read once is they are jealous that they have provided the oil as a medium for the expansion in the west. Yet, they are still a third world country.

The west has provided the middle east with know how and equipment (initially) to get the oil out and paid them a fair price for their oil. Market price would be a fair price, wouldn't it? Bin Laden thought the west owed them a lot more.

Bin Laden and his gang are not just against the "Crusader", but also trying to rid the Middle East of apostates and non-Muslim cultures. As for the oil, that has been a long standing issue since the 19th century and the Industrial Revolution. If it wasn't for the oil reserves there, they only got rock and sand to deal with. Try to feed your families with that. Do they think they could have invented the machinery to use all of that oil? Since the times of the Babylonian Empire a lot of invasions and colonial empires came to take over the area over the centuries. They got a lot of competitors to deal with over that time. Market price? Tell that to Saddam Hussein who decided that the plunge in crude oil prices in 1990 after he waged a war against Iran between 1980 to 1989 that ended up as a stalemate was going to bankrupt his nation, so he decided to start another war and take what was "rightfully" part of the Babylonian Empire thousands of years ago. And from doing so, brought in the Western forces that got Bin Laden to declare war against the West (the Crusaders are occupying the Muslim lands). And let us not forget the supplies that the West gave to the Afghan resistance during the Soviet occupation between 1980 to 1989. And also the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo which brought us gas rationing and mile long lines at the gas stations.

'Givi' (Mikhail Tolstykh), one of the leading separatists in the Donbas region (eastern Ukraine), has been killed on Tuesday (8 February). His office (with him in it) was fired upon, and this was the scene immediately afterwards: goo.gl/ZCvsJU He, along with the Russian commander 'Motorola' (Arseny Pavlov) who was blown up in a lift in a block of flats in October, and Alexander Zakharchenko (the current 'prime minister', also Russian,) were prominent players in the self-declared 'Donetsk People's Republic'. Mr Zakharchenko may be pondering recent activities, and his own luck. If anyone wonders who Givi was, or who has any interest in the eastern Ukrainian conflict, this is one video you should definitely watch. From January 2015, made by pro-Russians, but is very thought-provoking, it starts with Givi 'greeting' captured Ukrainian soldiers - who are then paraded in Donetsk city centre for humiliation. We now know what happened to Givi; I will try to find out what happened to the Ukrainian colonel.
