I also have a friend that is married to a Russian woman for quite a few years now and I know they are very happy together. We do have a very large latin community here. They have very large celebrations and they invite everyone to attend. Usually theres all kinds of food to try, lots of music, games for kids, dancing and drinking. I'm across the country from LA. Its more laid back where I live. If you ever come back you sould see the Naples/Sanibel area. Its more of a place to bring your lady with you. Beautiful beaches, nice restaurants and sunsets that will blow you away.
