Thank you Tradman, I'm fine on this dark night:)))
And she got only the English lesson, but also the attention of many good people turned to her....so now what is left for her to appear again, and all the interest will be hers:)))
lol@ptichka...well its ok to have a little attention!!!it least it made the english, americans and australians fall out a little:))) but we are all blood and relations, and like most relations, we like to argue:)))))
:)) And what is so wrong in arguing?? I like to discuss things too, I'm only very sorry that I was away on Friday's evening, when the main discussion went...
Well she dropped in, made one post, and vanished, or maybe she is just sitting back watching the fun unfold.
That was my meaning of Troll mate, (nothing to do with looks) its to do with making inflammatory posts that start arguments or heated discussions, a person who deliberately does this is called a "troll"(its also known as "Flaming") ;o))
Why do you guys try to make it look so complicated? I LEARNED, or should I say LEARNT? English in the UK many years ago, but I refined my English skills in the US. Thus, I can tell you that other than the few changes and in a number of words and the seldom preference of Britons and Americans in their usage of words, there is not much difference between American and British English when it comes to writing the language. So, just drop it and get along. The US is not the best country in the world, and Britain is not the mainland of Europe...Live with it.
Dax, did you see with what the whole topic started??? it's not about which country is best or which on is worse....it was that a girl wanted to correspond with an American, because their native language is English, but there are other countries in which English is a native language...so why did this girl said that, especially if she studied English she should know that...so this is where the wholetopic started:)))
Yeah !! She was being UKist !! The US is not the only place English is the main language, as Ptichka rightly says :o)) There is Aus, and of course the UK !! Where English began. :o)
lol@dax..we get along fine, just a harmless exchange of opinions, of course Americans and the Britsih understand each other perfectly, just a bit of good natured banter
