A very close girlfriend of mine was first generation Canadian from Ukraine. So I am well aware of the difference between Russia and Ukraine. Cognac is the way to go!! As far as the vodka goes, my doctor here in the states said the best to drink was vodka, because of it's natural ingredients and the bodys ability to break it down, he said gin was the worse. He also said moderation in anything is ok, over use of even vodka is bad for your health. First alcohol I ever got drunk on was vodka, I haven't had a taste for it since. I don't drink much anymore since I've battle with losing wieght after the age of 40, now that I've lost a lot I haven't had the desire to drink, but at Christmas time I will go buy a good bottle of Cognac or Napolean brandy and get the warm buzz it delivers. I love beer but I stay away from it because I do love it!! So far all I have read is Booze, knife, History of the Golden Gate Bridge. Also not to bring t-shirts and chewing gum. Any other ideas? Only if they are warm enough to use during our winters:) Ear rings...depends on a person, personally I can't wear gold ear rings, then I have problems with ears, I can wear only silver ear rings...but how can you know that???:) I offered another idea, which it seams nobody saw, some decorations for the house, like a small vase, or a small pictures, or something like that. In the US EVERY woman has pierced ears - and often a few more piercings as well. Common, are pierced navals, pierced noses, and multiple piercings around the ears. I've seen pierced tongues, pierced lower lips and pierced... unmentionables (i'm trying to be polite). But AT LEAST pierced ears - I've seen little girls as young as TWO with them. Neither of my Moldovan girls had pierced ears - or any desire to get them pierced. These ultrafashion conscious women - it was the one biggest surprise I found. And I seem to find a lot of Russian women who have some sort of allergic reaction to gold. I gave these boys some American coins that I had in my pocket, and one dollar bills. They were excited about having a collection of foreign coins and currency. Then I thought about when I was a kid, and how much I enjoyed getting coins from different countries that my family members have been to. Most infections/allergic reactions i have heard of are because people pearced themself or friends.
