I think I'l make some more copies and copy the files to my online storage dump.

I have no idea why I did that. The wad is actually very small. $40 in 1's is not very big, most of it is in $20's. I might change it up into 20's. Thought it might be handy to have some different denominations. The 1's are brand new. Kinda pointless.
Thanks for the link to CondomMan.com.....good prices and free shipping. Now I am ready for my next trip.
I had very few problems exchanging 50's and 100's. Of course make sure all bills have NO writing or ink stamps of any kind, AND hold each bill up to the light and make sure there are no pin holes noticed. I had one bill with many small pin holes that I never noticed, but it was rejected every time. I could only see the very tiny pin points when I looked at it in strong lighting. I see the exchange rate is back up to just over 28 Rubles to the Dollar.
Don't forget to bring with you to Russia k-1 visa forms so the two of you can fill them out should cupid find you too. You will need to file a biography form with her signature on it at the USA visa center.
I've been debating about that one (bringing fiance visa forms on the first visit)....hhhuuummmm.
Not sure it's the most prudent thing to do on my first visit.
Tempting, hell yes...
But I think we'll both benefit from a cool down period after the first time together in real time.
If things go well or above, I'm already planning a 2nd trip for just that purpose in the spring.
It takes so freaking long to get them to even LOOK at the stuf at any of the Regional Service Centers - that you are only a step up if you;re SURE and you get started now. Besides its a great time to get her signature - and one of the forms is REALLY supposed to be filled out in quadruple - with her signature on each - and lest you think you can simple make four copies -well, the four forms are ACTUALLY slight different on the bottom and they can get picky about copies at the Regional Service Center resulting in a time delaying RFE (Request for Extra information).
If you are even not-so-sure bring the forms. You can always decide not to later.
I had my lady sign a limited power of attorney so the lawyer could do the signing for her. I took all the paperwork with me to explain it to her and I left it with her. The only thing I brought back was the POA, her name name and address in her native language, and copies of the information pages of her passport.
If she doesn't have a passport, she better start right away. It can take as long as the visa in some cases.
I will wait on a K1 Visa until my next trip or mail it over. Sitting here writing this I do not feel that 2 weeks together warrants a K1. YET!! I am already tentatively planning a 2nd trip in June (when I won't freeze my ass off) and that would be the time then.
Anyway I don't know if she would want to come over. We need to be together for a while and talk about it. It is a bit too easy to ge carried away in the heat of the moment. It will take as long as it takes at the INS, or whatever they call themselves nowadays. I have no control over that. I will just travel back and forth and learn more, develop the relationship and enjoy myself in the interim period. After all there is nothing I can do about it. I will be patient.
I don't know, Izi...
You sound like you're more interested in BITING poor Marina than marrying her, lol...
I'll have to check into the dental services in Russia. I certainly need some work done ranging near 10K according to my dentist.
The mere thought makes my teeth hurt...uuuggghhh.
This last dentist I visited said I have ground all my botom teeth down to the pulp. He thinks it is a miracle I am not in agony. I feel fine no pain at all. So apparently he wants to replace a bridge which has become a little loose. I can get that done here. then the fun starts. 12 crowns on the bottom all in one go. That raises the level of the teeth up and they can go for broke with the top. Then there is the sinal lift and implants......
And finally of course the breast implants.
