A woman wrote me a few emails saying she was coming to NZ and would I like to meet her. I said sure I would be glad to meet you and 3 weeks or so later she turns up. We meet for coffee and immediately I decide there is no attraction here so I wont be seeing her any more in case it jeopardizes my other prospects. Well a few days later shes messaging me, why I am not calling her and taking her out. When I tell her it is not a happenning thing, she is right pissed off!!!! The thing is, she had not come to see me, I did not ask her to come here, so I felt I owed her nothing. Each day I read on these forums the same situation in reverse. It is infrequent, but from time to time I read in some profile (not necessarily in fiance.com) that the lady is looking for, say, a tall, athletic and rich man. "Generous" is a much more widely used term. I wrote one girl who mislead me to believe ( my fault) that she was sincere, caring, affectionate and very warm, while every letter was charming and remarkably warm and friendly. After 6 months of writing 2x a week, we finally did meet in Odessa. She had obviously lied about her entire personality. She was brought up cold with a harsh outlook on life and people while her values were based on material possessions ( as a lot of the young Ukrainians are becoming). Yet I had a very nice meeting with her opposite with a girl the agency set me up with. The girl was pretty (she is on Fiance.com), sweet and very warm and charming. But after having such a bad experience and still having thoughts of Girl#1, I warned the agency I could not see this very pretty girl again... So in saying this, its a complete crap shoot guys. Some girls are gold-diggers, dating scammers, yet some are very sincere and very loving and devoted types... both girls were under 21, the younger (18) being the very sincere girl who up till several months ago continued to ask the agency how I am doing... I will probably write a new girl, but she has to convince me 100% she is not a gold-digger who will whore her heart and body to marry a rich man. It is sickening and funny at the same time. But it is a lot more common now than I would have thought possible! Most of these profiles are in Odessa and Kiev, yet have seen this phenomena hit the smaller town girls too these last few months. Use "SUCCESSFUL" in your keyword search and just take a look for yourself and see em crawl out of the woodwork like grubby worms scurrying away from the light. ;p In return, they don't get many letters (not popular). Men are getting smarter and these women are being much blatant and arrogant about why they chose to join an agency in the first place -- its their chance to win the lotto by spreading their legs for money. Especially since all of our vegetables we have grown on our own. Maybe instead of worrying about pecs and abs, maybe you should worry about the corruption of our culture, which is biased towards looking good and lacking much intelligence. Hell scoring in the States isn't a big problem. Though check the purse, about any type of anti-this or that drug will be in there. So much for the physical exercise. Why would a good looking guy go over to Ukraine and find a wife, well along with being good looking he has some intelligence and he understands that their culture is more like it was 50 years ago in the states. In Colombia I was with two guys that were decent looking and in my age group 25-30ish and from the States. Of course there were a more older guys who would cause girls to flee a bar if they walked in. ;) j/k. Reason I wanted to have a Ukraine wife was simple for me. I thought they would be very modest, humble and sincere. I missed the boat of 1996-2002. They said those years were the glory years when dreams could come true. Hell Odessa is the worst city in Ukraine anyone can spend their time in for corruption. We had a former member here that had a cousin killed there. My Taxi driver from Mariupol was mugged and beaten there. Corruption is a given in Ukraine for some. Greedy 80's? Prosperity is greed? I don't think so. I like you guys who cite the merits of Columbia. It is humorous. Cali better than Odessa? The Ukrainian Cartels haven't been poisoning societys for years. If your chasing the 18 to 25 year olds you can bet your wallet that they want to use you. 1996-2002 the Glory years, maybe but you can find an intelligent beautiful woman now if you want to be patient. Going to meet 4-5 women on a trip won't get it done. Guys hunting for a trophy wife as they say, get what they deserve. In reality it's not common to find a 50ish guy with a 25 year old here in the states, why would they think the mentality would be different in Ukraine? One reason and one reason only, that they can buy beauty with their money and material lifestyle which is a vacant concept and in no way promotes a healthy and loving relationship. If you going to Ukraine because you are a goofball, nerd, zero or just a plain asshole, you're not going to find success in Ukraine. Remember they have had more than their healthy dose of idiots from the states coming to Ukraine. My reason for going to Ukraine is what I stated above, finding a relationship like my parents had. It does exist there, the culture promotes it if you find the right lady. Though you won't find that mentality with the 20 somethings. They've had this misgiving and no thanks to Hollywood that all are streets are paved with gold. Guy's making 50k a year can succeed over in Ukraine. It just takes patience and common sense and being in the real world. If you think you're going to score the supermodel on your trips their, you need a wake up call. Take a look in the mirror and get back to reality.
