I had hand surgery today, out of action for up to 3 months. I had bad carpal tunnel syndrome with some main nerve damage on my right main hand. No possibility of travel until after x-mas now. Can't even drive for 4 to 6 weeks! Hand feels dead, but still hospital anaesthetic wearing off. I am bandaged up and my hand is in a sling. I can't lift heavy suitcases for at least 3 months, lots of physio to do once the stitches come out in 11 days time. Hand hurts like a bitch when I try to move it..its wrapped in heavy bandage and my arm is in a sling. I am very sceptical. The Krivoy Rog girl, herein abbreviated as the K.R girl, I really don't know much about..zero about her family despite me asking a number of times and it does not answer these questions( thats a red flag ), a zoom up of 2 photos of her taken 2 years ago, shows rings on both her hands,including one on the right finger reserved for a wedding band in mainly Ukraine tradition (but not necessarily, but strong possibility) and she claims she has never been married and her beauty, that is unusual she is never been married. She claims to live on her own in a one room apartment thats hers in city centre of Krivoy Rog. She has never asked me for money or told me how much she earns or complains about life there and she plays competition darts as a sport. She writes only once a week or less, sometimes only twice a month, does so from an internet cafe in Krivoy Rog, IP trace confirms all e-mail has come from K.R within a batch of network reserved addresses (Class C reserved private network IP range for Pretcher net, an Ukraine based ISP in Dneproprovisk operating internet cafe backbone in K.R),the IP main address does not change and e-mailer is always Microsoft Outlook and she has a free e-mail account via pretcher net. She has only asked one thing and it took a long time, a professional competition darts set that can not be bought in K.R as it is way too expensive from Harrows Darts of England. It has a retail price of at least $110 usd which is way to expensive to be stocked in K.R..thats nearly a months salary there. I had sources and got this top pro set for $35 usd and imported it to Oz. Total cost to get, post to her all up is $70 aud, only thing I give her as a gift. I asked her to send me picture of her holding my darts set gift, to prove she got it..I will wait and see, its kind of like simple verification of her if she does it. It will be at least another 10 days before it gets there. This is one way I am testing the water with her, small outlay for gift, see if she replies and prove to me she has it...if not reply its probably a scam or non-genuine or if it asks for more, then probably a user and gold digger..then decision is easy to dump and not waste money and suffer minimal loss and not go on any personal visit..save thousands and not waste my time! There is simply not enough info I have on her to justify a personal visit at the moment..if it were to happen a Private Investigator from Russian detective etc. would have to be hired for back ground check and report and few days surveillance of her..I am suspicious it could be a low key scam run by her with husband/boyfriend for things..theres no record or any picture of her in a wide internet search of scammer data bases. She has been on the internet about 4 years, had 3 old profiles with different agencies about 4 years old with younger photos of her,all same group and a newer profile, 2 years old where I meet her with older photos and she sent me newer photos and date info, camera type etc. is embedded in them, so I know they are not more than 1 year old and the older 4 year old photos have the hidden date info in them as well..it is all photo of the same women. I have really analysed this with confirmed photo dates and years taken over last 4 years so I have a time line on this woman. Something tells me she has a partner in the background and plays the internet low key to get things from idiots from the west..I am probably one of those to but the sending of a gift is part of my acid test on her, done cheaply and remotely. I think, if theres something confirmed odd about her it will reveal itself..I don't trust any women, specially those from internet. The K.R girl came from a free dating site..thats likely to be a bad thing to.A trip there is looking unlikely. This will be the last FSU girl I write, if it goes pear shaped or wrong or my gut senses continued bad, FSU girls will be permanently off my agenda...the Thai, Filipino or Asian girl will become my target as beemer suggested or go to the local Australian dating scene by internet etc. FSU girls on the internet are a very high risk proposition..risk of scam or relationship disaster. It is really a very expensive and risky way of meeting a woman! It's just not healthy to feel like that all of the time. I know because I went through the same things with the girl I met a few times from Ukraine (which I spoke of in an older thread) I got so mistrusting of her and every little thing she did near the end that the whole thing just imploded on me. There we're a lot of other factors for it going bad too but this really was a big part of the problem too. If she is not giving you reasons to trust her either then that's also another good reason you may want to just end it with her too. I have sat down, looked back on all my e-mail records on this K.R fsu girl and in the time of correspondence which is very long, what I have as personal info on her really amounts to nothing..I should know far more about her personal life, background and family and I don't. Theres mention of a translator friend she has in one of her past letters, last year, a "Miss Olga" that helps her by translating English letters and I wonder if at times its this "Olga" that replies to me (maybe with or without her knowledge or in collusion together as a subtle scammer team..who can be sure but its suspicious, maybe she is even this Olga pretending to be someone else using stolen photos..who knows), as sometimes her letters are a little bit too good, dressed up with deliberate spelling mistakes or miss spelled words as the structure content of the english grammar sometimes changes with the letters..its subtle but theres obvious differences although the IP address is the same for e-mail and its been trace routed to K.R in Ukraine, many times. I have just checked my personal stupidity barometer.Its arrow is pointing somewhere between stupid and very stupid! It is on the surface a sham FSU contact..its either not serious, subtlely scams for gifts(informed Ukraine scammers know asking for money over the internet does not work anymore) or pure scammer who maybe does not exist for real, using stolen photos of a good looking women or its part of scam team..who knows...the letters are not committed or informative enough to be an honest fsu women looking for a man. My one is very short, pretty, but a little overweight. Someone who loves to read books, ironically works as a full time manicurist, yet dresses down western style. My expense on her after two dates has now reached $2. No darts sets! Her English is very limited and my Russian is very bad considering the time I have spent here. Actually, this may be good. Like most men, I talk too much and say too many dumb things. I have several other prospective partners, maybe the darts will hit the bulls eye. As my mentor here says, once you have one, they all want you. Is this not true always, such as when seeking a job? No employer wants an unemployed person. After Ukraine I will try Thailand for the first time and can afterwards make an honest comparison. There are several free Russian language sites to meet partners which no one seems to mention. In Kiev, from such a site, I met two out and out liars and scammers and no one else, but here I have met mostly genuine females using a free site. I have vowed to myself, divorce and the pain and mess that go with it, shall not happen again! This is why the need to be extra careful and not run blindly into marriages. I think you need to be more careful with foreign girls. The time constraints put on you under a fiance visa to marry her quickly ( 3 months is a very short time to decide to marry any girl..you don't really know her in that time ) before she is kicked from your country results in too many "shot gun weddings" and "bloody disasters" in break-ups down the track. There is no easy way to do this. You must weigh up the pros and cons.Its risky but life is unpredictable. For myself, divorce was costly financially but I did get a better deal on child contact than a lot of men here...21% shared full time care of them which amounts to almost 3 months out of every year under my care full-time, granted by the family court and because the ex was a bitch over kids contact, most of my family court costs were awarded against her as she had the assets and she had to take a loan over the house in the form of a caveat on the title, so when she sells it, the Government will recover legal aid costs of $20,000 plus interest at 12% p.a all because she was an unreasonable human being and wanted to deprive me of my kids in some form of sick revenge..there is some justice. Also, because of my health and financial situation, 3 years ago, I was given a 3 bedroom Government house under the family crisis housing program on low rent for life so I had appropriate accomodation to exercise contact with my kids as it was ordered by the family court...there is some justice! I am not going to buy another house, so another women can take it off me..if I ever marry again and it goes south, I can kick her out of this house as I will always be the master tenant as far as government is concerned and the woman only a guest I can kick out..no woman will ever have housing rights here and I'm gonna get the vasectomy snip,Beemer so I can't make anymore kids before marrying again if it happens..this time some of my bases are covered. It is diiferent here in California, many men do get custody of children, at least partially( up to half). That happened to me, I have 50% custody of my kids. I felt it was important that I be a big part of their lives. There are some guys that don't care and just fork out money and go have their fun. I understand totally about not wanting to ever get divorced again. And these rules about having 90 days to decide such a lifechanging decision is insane. I think I am taking my time before the K-1 process to better know the girl and her family. Best time to ever know your girl is to see her when there is a crisis or things going wrong. Everybody can be sweet and cheerful and happy when things are going good but it is when problems come up that your girl's true nature comes out. I am not getting sniped( ouch), I wouldn't mind having more kids, which is good if you are looking at a girl 30 or under. They all would like a family or how do they say...a strong family. Wherever you go Aussie, girl is going to want you to be able to take care of her. Offer her more than what she has.
