So off I ran haha and got lost I got the chocs and a bottle of wine and made it back she just laughed at me and it all worked out grand. Another day we went to a cousin of her mothers who had no English they didnt know what to say or me to them but they had 2 little boys in a different room I went in and played toy cars with them on the floor and that was it haha We sat then and drink red wine for the evening and the pics were all dug out I was compared to a grandfather who was a captain in the Russian navy lol My wifes mother is from Moscow and her father (deceased is Hungarian) having heard about me ,the Moscow in laws rang and said any chance I could come up to see them for a few days they had heard about this real nice Irish man who was married into their family now,I was very touched but hadnt time to get a Russian Visa but I will for sure in the future. I can feel with many of the guys about the holding hands thing she holds my hand all the time and I love it. My friends who came with me also really hit it off with her family I remember on the night of the wedding one of my friends dancing away with her mum at 3 am! For me I like people who are kind and good humoured treat people with respect and my wife told me all her friends were very impressed with mine and I felt very proud of them!On the last day they all came up and hugged her mother etc the mum is even making a attempt to learn English to try and communicate more I guess I really have to get off my ass and make a attempt learning Russian when I am at home. Like Colin my in laws accepted me, but they naturally were worried they may never see their daughter again espeically when you plan to move very far away. But this is something that can be overcome over time espeically when come to understand that this is what their daughter wants. Sometimes the best approach is to not start a war but sit back and wait for the storm to pass. Now its you and your wife against the rest of the world. The smart money is always on the world. It does sound like her family is very messed up (which probably explains a few things). As far as the kid goes lots of guys have posted on here they avoid girls with childen as they can easily get into the same problem as you and I can only wish you good luck there.
