I havent heard of Shnegen 6 & 10 yr rules but maybe ours are the same.
In 10 or so yrs you will be on a pretty good oncome, youll be over 35 and maybe 1 or 2 kids.
Of course will give you a visa )))
Hey but we still want that bond even after youve paid the lawyer ))
)))) no lawyers then.
actually, a lawyer is a good way out if a woman wants to immigrate and applies for a certain visa, or if she knows that after she has entered the country on a tourist visa she will settle down and wont come back. in my case its rediculous to pay a lwayer since i dont want to stay in NZ after the holidays. so its pure tourist interest
yes i have 10 yrs ahead to work hard and be "finincial secure " int he eyes of visa officers:))
You are going to a lot of both for just tourism. NZ is ok (in the summer) but it is the furtherest you can go and the hardeast tourist visa to get.
Whats the great interest in coming here? There are other countries.
u are talking like visa officers)))) the guy at the reception took my papers and asked the same question, plus added - usually people who have visited all the european countries come to us.
There used to be 72 million sheep - now less than 35 million, so you better hurry up if you want to see some :-))
Sorry to hear about your refusal, I am not surprised.
Instead of spending $$$ on Lawyers etc, I still think the Travel Agency plan is the best option. Talk to them and see if they can attach you to a group travelling down here on Tourist Visa's. Otherwise, even with kids it makes little difference. My 1st FSU exp was a lady from Samara, had a 12yr daughter and a good job, I had spent time with her in Samara etc - but still got refused.
I think Maxirat u are right, maybe next time i ll try either through an agency or with some friends. not alone .
but its very expensive through an agency! i dont want to buy a 14 day tour for 3000 usd plus tickets , food! its an incredibly big sum of money for me. moreover i dotn want to follow the guide and the group... anyway, we will see. i have time to think of what will be better. i ll have to try to obtain a visa again cuz i need to get one after refusal- not provoke other embassies and let them refuse me a visa just because some scoundrals from another agencies decided not to let me in the country))
but still, though i wrote above its almost impossible i think it is and i ll get one oneday)))
im sure!
after 12 days since i got refused i have a feeling that it was dont for the better0 because of the crises i ll need this money and better keep them with the bank
Anyway, I am now back in Australia. Have been here for 2 months.
My girlfriend just submitted her Visitor Visa application last week, and the courier shows that it was received on Wednesday. Does anybody have any advice about how long it usually takes for the Embassy to be in contact? We have been told that it is common for them to phone and question the applicant. Is that true? And what type of questions should she expect?
After talking to people here, and at other sites, we are fairly confident it will be approved. First of all, we met in Russia and were together for 5 months there. She has also provided evidence of a healthly bank account (brother in law helped) and employment records, and I have sent my support. We also included letters from our parents indicating that they are aware of the relationship and want to meet, as was suggested by another girl I spoke with.
So, now it is just a waiting game. But hopefully there will be a nice Christmas present in the coming weeks!
Often (Not always) the embassy will call to interview. It is usually a fairly soft interview without very in depth questions. Generally the visitor visa will take 10-14 days to process. A friend of Mrs has an application lodged right now so it will be interesting to see this time around. It has always been 10-14 days previously.

Well done.
I am comparing to NZ and it appears you sailed through with ease.
The fact you lived together for 5 months would have been the main point of acceptance - in my opinion ??????
What timeframe is the VVisa for ????
The Visa is for 3 months. It is possible to enter anytime between December 10 (when approved) and March 10. Then is valid for upto 3 months from the entry date (single entry).
There are also a lot of conditions about study, no further stay, etc.
But yeah, the fact that we actually met in Russia and lived together for that time must be the main factor.
I just can't wait until she arrives, and can see what she thinks of Australia :)
We've already planned our trip to the Gold Coast :D
This is the Visa. It says that you can not arrive after March 10, and the 3 months only begin from the date of arrival. Therefore if you arrive on February 6, you can leave on May 6.
Therefore, not a problem :)
