The quake today Friday, August 31, 2012 erupted shortly before 9 PM local time. The quake was one of the strongest to strike the region in recent memory. USGS indicates to news that the quake delivered a nominal depth. The quake was centered only twenty minutes below sea level. As a result, the quake could be felt across the region. USGS indicates to news that the quake registered a 7.9 magnitude. But that preliminary magnitude is expected to be updated within the next fifteen minutes, officials tell news. The quake was centered only ninety-one miles east of Guiuan, Samar. The quake was roughly one hundred thirty miles northeast of Surigao, Mindanao. The quake could also be felt in the east, roughly one hundred forty miles from Tacloban, Leyte. And USGS indicates to news that the quake was approximately five hundred miles southeast of Manila. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service reports that no tsunami warning, watch or advisory is in place currently. Rag'n'Bull Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 9/3/2012 8:29:41 AM   We needed to let the latest foreman and a mason go on Saturday, and the painter walked with them, they seemed to think that I've never picked up a paintbrush, a trowel, a hammer in my life and they can dupe me that it takes a month to tile a 3sqm shower room blah blah blah :) As ill as I am at the moment, with influenza, girlfriend was already managing on site this morning when I arrived, I picked up two buckets of paint, rollers, brushes and trays and I walked in to one room and put the first topcoat on a bathroom and bedroom walls. Then I called out to the labourers, these are supposed to be the thickshits compared to the tradesmen that take ages to do anything, by lunchtime two labourers were enthusiastically painting the rooms and even girlfriend came to me enthusically asking if she could get painting also ... she's currently in the shower washing off the paint :) The simpletons here are fine, it's the supposed tradesmen that try to scam inflated prices for shoddy work, these simpleton labourers love it because I've showed them how to paint and they're getting on with it ...
