The conflict in East Ukraine does not make me think any less of ordinary Russians. I have real and virtual (FB) Russian friends and even Eastern Ukrainian and Crimean friends who are on the Russian side. If I see a real opportunity with a lovely Russian girl, I am definitely not going to say no to her because of that madman Putin. I am dead against Putin and his govenment but not ordinary Russians. Only 1 year ago Russians and Ukrainian were exactly the same in the eyes of Westerners. They do refer to Russia as the Sleeping Bear and/or Giant. I think they have been playing opossum myself. First of all English lessons for russian speakers are all overt the Internet for free. Second after a couple months skype or personal e mails are the way to go. Sorry but it looked like a scammerif they aren't willing to get private contact after a couple months. There's also free translation software everywhere. I say don't give up on anyone until you see the scams. It took me 6 months of reading my wife's profile before I every wrote, she's that far out of my league. One night after too many beers I said what the hell. 100 times I laughed at myself for chasing such a young beautiful woman. Dozens of times I decided to stop communicating. We're happily married today. Also there's little things that give a woman away. If she truly likes you she will do a million little things that people simply can't think of I'd they are fake. Then on my second trip I had swallowed to much from this forum and had a overshoot the other way. .I thought it would be impossible but that trip I went with the tour group that offers socials. I met many women but none were right for me. That is when I say down with what I had learned and devised a plan that looked like it would work. On my next trip I met my wife. In my experience, women of a lower economic status with not much of future often are willing to connect to a much older man who is financially sound and reasonably healthy.
