One time I was curious to find out how much does an interpreter earns...when I find out I was shocked, why??? Because in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry a translator earns for 1 hour of face-to-face trsnaltion 25-40 $ and for 1 page of a text about up to 20 $. But these are the salaries of several people, I'm not sure how many of them are there exactly, but somewhere about 5 people. As one of my friends told me, she earned for 1 hour of face-to-face translation 2 $!!! Do you see the difference??? What I wanted to tell is that our city differes in prices and salaries, and don't think that the translators earn much money, they don't. And as Anon said there are many people who starved, I myself hate fish, because there was the time in the life of my family when we could eat nothing but cheap fish...and that's not the only example.
