I hope I don't get in trouble for this but Fiance.com should see this with ease as well.I am starting to feel uncomfortable here.I dont want to sound two faced because I have written around 80 letters but with the hope of finding the right one for me and most of my letters were to the same 8 girls when I started.I worked my way down to two ladies and got bent over by both.Both Mi$$ Wows might I add.Three of the ladies are scammers.If they realy did a background check here they would find these ladies on the black list all over the internet.
Give me a job at Fiance I will work overtime to do background checks
and clear out the shit hole.This is a service for money.We pay for it.
It is not or job to do a scammer search.
and I think its safe to say we don't want to see miss wow anymore or the models on the home page.This is our home so make it that way.
To top it off Micheal, one of them wasn't even a miss wow when we both started correspondence. So now, for me at least, all miss wow are off the list, plus any possible additions (those with 80+ letters written... hell my limit is 30 now)
The pickings are alot slimmer, but then I never wanted a quick relationship leading to an immediate marriage. Which, by the way, seems to limit the pickings even more.
My idea, when I joined this site was , if I were to find someone, to have a three to four month correspondence/phone calls, visit for a while to meet and hopefully explore, perhaps a reciprocal visit to see the lifestyle of my country. Experience the culture and the phenomena we call hockey... (couldn't resist), THEN seriously think about marriage. Maybe, if I were to put it on a timeline, a relationship between 8 to 10 months... But I've never subscribed to placing time limits on anything... Then along comes 26497, professing love and marriage on her second letter; 27162 inviting a brigade of international men in June to her home for tea; Lil'Miss Irine who has a serious need of bran therapy... and a look in the mirror....
And the search for Intelligence continues.
*sigh*

As for models on a homepage.Those models are not listed in a photo gallery, noone is using their images for getting money. Our company is free to use all images we want for our site design as long as it is legal.And using models for site design IS LEGAL.
I guess you do not request to have a real person on each banner on the internet?
As for scammers in Miss Wow section.To call someone scammer one needs to give some explanations.We do not require our customers to do a background checks. But if you call someone scammer-why dont you just drop a message to site administrator with the link where she is registered and we'll check on this? This was discussed a few times here on this forum-fiance.com accepts registrations from independent ladies and agencies. And if we can check on the agencies we work with, there is no way we can check each and every independent lady here. If she is from the agency and you think spmething is wrong-nform us and well check on this agency. We already termonated contacts with a few agencies because of this.
I am not defending scammers. We do not keep those on the site.And if we get a note about possible scammer - we put her profile on hold immediately. It just needs to be more then just "She is a scammer. remove her". We know more then enough cases when ladies were blacklisted by men just because they got declines from them. We even had a letter written by one man who confessed how once he submitted lady's profile for a dozen of blacklists just because she didnt want to continue correspondence with him. He said he hoped that after she will be removed from all sites she will be compelled to continue relationships with him, since noone else is interested. And we have other stories like that from managers of a local agencies as well.So I do not think why its such a problem to drop us a message and explain why you consider someone to be a scammer.If we are talking about miss WOW-give us the IDs of ladies.
Also about Miss Wow section.It doesnt matter how many letters does she write herself. Those messages do not go into her stat. We count messages written by men only. And it doesnt means that a girl responds all of them.
Again.If you consider someone be a scammer-give us IDs and possibly a link where she was found. We care about what our customers see on the site and we would not want to keep ladies like that here.
A suggestion for ladies that are NOT scammers but are maybe NOT what some of us would call "genuine" would be implementing some kind of "Review System".
I'd greatly appreciate the opportunity to rate (1-10 plus comments) past experiences that have been a waste of time for given ladies as part of a functionality in their profile. Future (male) clients, can take or leave that information as they feel appropriate but not having that information can permit others to fall into the same trap of time and money wasting.
I have to agree with everything Michael and Tony have said about "Miss Wow".
Its a joke !! These women mass mail men so that they become "Miss Wow"s then all the suckers without experience see these girls first, write to them and get scammed !!!
I too think its time "Miss Wow" was a dead and buried concept !!
No-one in their right mind can honestly say these women are sincere about finding a man !! All they want is attention or money, and if they can get 20 men to write them, and take translation fees from as many as possible they have got their life sorted for many years to come !!
No woman with any self respect would mass mail so many men, unless she had no intent to meet One or marry One !!!
And yes, I do understand that the letters the girls send out dont get counted towards their score, but obviously they get a Lot of replies to these mass mailings, which Does count to their score.
Well wooopie for them, because they wont ever get anything but a decline from me, with or without Natasha !!
Miss is OKAY on the condition that:
The criteria for judging "Miss WOW" is changed and not based solely upon the number of letters sent/received. That information is pointless other than stating she's a mass mailer or spammer to you and I which co-indently rhymes with scammer. ;)
The appraisal system should be open to "guys" to "rate" a girl as "wow" with at least a 1-10 scale, comments optional.
rate them yourself and chase what you like. My taste is different to yours, so some guys like fat girls, if thats you thing you will not have any compatition from me.
Well, I do not know these ladies in person, and I have no idea on how many letters they wrote. If the site owners will accept this point of view-this list section will be removed from the site for sure.
I am not trying to defend anyone here. All I wanted to say was about calling someone scammer without giving explanation.
In general, miss WOW exists to get men think about whom they are writing too. Its not a sectert that some ladies get no messages at all, some get 10 messages daily. Why? Just because noone wants to write ladies with unclear pics with appearance below average. Men want to write to
cuties and beauties. In average ladies write around 200 introductory letters per months, but only some of them get responses.Noone chooses them!
And some of those beauties get tons of e-mails( even without mass mailing). So would you prefer them to be around other ladies in catalog, or to be in a WOW section so that men would get an idea about should he write her or not?
I do not think that sending template intriductory letters is a sighn of scam.
Men, search the net and read girls forums on the other sites. read forums of ladies who already got married and they will tell you, how many letters they got untill they finally made a choice. You all know that finding of a life partner is similar of looking for a pearl in a desert...and lots of men here( including this forum) write a lot too.
Scam is getting money by some dishonest way, scam is sending same letters to different people( we are not talkinmg about introductory letters). But getting lots of messages doesnt necessarily means be a scam.
> rate them yourself and chase what you like. My taste is different to yours, so some guys like fat girls, if thats you thing you will not have any compatition from me.
A statistical mean of all reviews will on balance give a fair reflection of what is considered to be WOW. It may be different to your "personal" tastes but would be a fair balanced representation of the consensus at large.
The review system can be multi-layered.
Not just an appraisal of how "fit" she is (which is quite shallow) but as a point of reference of "experience" with that girl also amongst many other factors. Whilst different guys will have different experiences. For the newbie, such information may give them caution when approaching a girl that for example has had 20 poor reviews of guys that have wasted their time and money where otherwise that client has to traul through this forum to chase genuine feedback.
In my experience of girls that get "lots of messages", they also get "lot of presents", "lots of offers" and the poor girl (hmmm) can barely remember your name! What's the point? Where's the genuine interest other than presents and holidays (for her)?
A review system properly implemented can use different types of feedback and information provided by the client to discriminate different types of girls that are otherwise judged by a meaningless statistic.
No Olga, you are absolutely right, it doesnt mean scam for sure, but it isnt a good sign of a sincere and honest woman, who is looking for that one man with whom to spend her life.
If these "Miss Wows" were genuine women with genuine ambitions to meet a good and worthy man, they would be more selective about who they mailed to, and certainly would Not mail any man who hasnt got a photo posted, but among these "Miss Wows" many do exactly that !!
I have Never in my life written to any woman who doesnt have a picture posted, and I am sure No sincere woman would ever do it either !!
It would be a much fairer way to rate these women, if the count was based on "First letters sent to tem" rather than the replies they get dont you think Del` ?
That way the Genuinly Most popular women would be Miss Wows and not teh mass mailing losers !!!
You are spot on !! The system as it stands at present is totally meaningless, other than it shows us the women we Should Not write to if we want a sincere woman !!
the catigory was miss wow, not personal experiences, my comment was only on the fact dma. Its like asking who is the greatest guitar player in the world? If you want to have an overall scammer or personal satisfaction chart, that is a different thing.
<here comes my years of NON!!!-geek developer experience>
There's no reason why "Miss Wow" cannot be generated from different types of criteria allowing the client to select as appropriate option as part of their WOW advanaced search:
* Unique/Total letters written to them
* Unique/Total Letters sent by them
* Appearance/Attraction rating (1-10)
* Traits: Intelligence, sense of humour(1-10), honesty(1-10), sensitivity(1-10) etc
* Experience rating (1-10)
* Feedback/Comments
I could spend all day making a list that would the power of information to the client through which they can make a more information opinion and selection.
Yeah Del` but there rests one small problem with all these ratings :o))
If any guy was to find a girl who rated as 10 on all points, or even high on all points, do you think he would be wise to tell Everyone about her ? I sure as hell wouldnt !! :o))
