I liked the song but mainly it was because: NEXT YEAR EVERYONE WILL SEE HOW WONDERFUL KYIV IS!! You see the winners host next the next contest. What a great chance for the country to get exposure!! Scott: Tourism to Kiev is quite high already mate, that why they spend so much of the countires wealth on it, its their golden goose, but if they dont start spending in other cities pretty soon there will be a rebellion !! The problem with cities in the east of Ukraine, is that originally they were coal-miners cities...and that didn't bring too much into their beauty...just working cities, and much time will be needed to bring them back into order. Donetsk is improving, but Kiev has everything !! Sadly there is some stupid western thing about McDonalds being so wonderful !!! Their food is not healthy and the service is usually poor at best !! Assuming my trip to Kiev to meet my lady (my?) works out, I will be traveling to see her at home (Makeevka). I'd be traveling to meet her, her son and her family and friends, but I would hope that there would be something to see and do. Well what can I say about Donetsk...personally I don't like...just because I got used of seeing almost the same "faces" of the buildings, which are left after the USSR... Donetsk is much bigger the Lugansk, if my memory is correct there are about 1 000 000 people. My friends say that there are many good night-clubs, but again they say that these clubs are rather expensive for a usual citizen of Ukraine. There is a great Medical Institute, that's for sure:))) I remember there is a very nice old street, my dad and me were driving it. I honestly thought the Ukrainian entry was the best, but also liked the S&M entry!!!!! ooh-eer! OTOH I thought the Russian entry was terrible - badly sung and an unremarkable song. I agree with Ptichka, the development of Kyiv should take presidence, but I also see major development in Mariupol (my wife's home city) so I don't think it is limited to Kyiv. Then again I believe a lot of the work is financed by the 'controlling' businesses in each city, so I think it is also a dependent of localised influences rather than central government. Because they were so proud of their Uliya Savicheva...they said she was the best and so on and so forth... Jadis you're correct many things depend on the business inside the town, on the city authority, when it was Danilov - the head of Lugansk, Lugansk was coming more beautiful with each day (At least it seamed that way, he really did many things in the city, solved the problem with transport, gurbage, and so on and so forth:) but some people wanted the other head and they changed him...but he still tries to return.
