"... Sancho tell me all you know about American History, I have 5 seconds. ..."
-sorry to politely decline, I have dicovered (better late than never) that more money to education is part of the Kerry/Edwards election campaign. I don't want to bring my miserable little self (without a knife) into a gun fight between a donkey and an elephant.
One author wrote a book the size of brick about just one state (but he started with dinosaurs)...
When America was discovered by vikings it already had a history. The vikings decided to hush it up (discovery and history)....
re. education: A politician few year ago said he had not studied Latin in school, therefore he could not communicate with people from Latin-America. And he was not joe-citizen, he was elected by people to enter White House if something bad happened to president.
Chalenge: find him again, give him a Russian Atlas of the world (so he cannot read place names) and ask him to find Estonia on map.
-same task for some first year university students...
re.:"I would suggest if you live here, or
plan on visiting the United States you will need to invest in dental insurance. " -thanks for warning, good to know...
(and reference to Alamo above: Just one example: History can create strong feelings, -for years! -you agree, nasfan6?
(PS I have no relatives in or around the alamo area!)
"So please, I politely request you shut your resentful and envious pipe the next time you are prepared to make a negative comment about my or anyone else's country."
-point taken, GLTALLTOAD, you can critisise, I can't.
and, nasfan6, re:
"...First you accuse the American Students of not knowing history. Well if they know their own history that's more than acceptable. Damn Sancho get a grip. ..."
OK
-and the next few months will bring debate anyway - about what should change, or what should not change. -and I shall keep well away from election campaign...
(and both donkey and elephant have thick hide!)
-and, yes, if a male from US decides to a female from Latvia, he can do a Google search to see where in the world it is...
-so why bother before...?
Speaking of donkeys with thick hides, I KNOW that you are eeyore. Your posts have the same style and mannerisms as his. Though you have tried to disguise yourself, you still ramble on about meaningless crap. I guess I'm getting used to it now, and sometimes you even make me laugh.
Dale if he makes you laugh I wonder what the Russian ladies think if he writes the same superflous diatribe to them. They must be falling out of their chairs in hysteria!!!!!Or Maybe removing their names from this site!!!!
I believe it's eeyore also, writes with the same syntax and little idiotic snippets of knowledge.
sancho,
I criticize individuals or specific points of view any individual may bring to me if I happen to disagree....I have never nor will I ever make blanket statements about an entire country like you do.
You have brought nothing constructive to this forum todate and you have made no effort whatsoever to help anyone hered, sancho...
It is what you're known for in this forum.
You're insignificant.
Nasfan,
I never meant to imply I oppose the death penalty, quite the contrary.....despite its flaws and the sometimes racially motivated manner that it is dispensed in some sates, I support it 100%.
"No country in the world receives more inmigration, tourist and student visa requests than the US.
And it has been this way for decades. "
correct.
Although something has changed since
"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free...."
[Lazarus, 1886]
-the bar has been raised a lot since!
(and by the way: would all the people 'on the inside' be let in if they were on the 'outside' and had to go through 'Immigration'? - {what a naughty question!})
re. Estonia and Latvia: EU has just accepted 10 new members - does that count as 'immigration'?
(which could do something funny to your statistics)(but EU is not a 'country')
"and for what its worth isn't sanchopanza some sort of mexican/german heavy military vehicle???...........:)))
"
-secret project in EU (Eurpaeische Ueberkommandantature) -and has new flippenfloppenmukkenspredden device on windscreen. Invented by famous irish enventor Pat Pending, who is shy and keep in background (called 'pat on the back').
Ptichka, you write:
"Ok some echoes of the past may be present...but that doesn't disturb people much. "
-I wish you were right. -You might be right in your area of the world, but a few hundred km west they are still hating each other very much.
-the world is sad place!
GLTALLTOAD, you wrote:
".you're entitled to dislike the US all you want. "
-actually, I like US very much. Why should I not? There is a fair distance north/south,east/west, and it is full of good and friendly people. And I like most of them. Can I be allowed to disagree with a few?
-and I know that the impact my opinion can have is about as much as the size of the hole in the water left when one puts a finger down and removes it again, so I might as well shut up...
nasfan6, you wrote about Aaron Burr, and you wrote:
"...when it comes to American history, please don't bring a knife to a gunfight..."
-and, he for one did not. They have just had a re-enactment (as you of course know) of the duel in NJ.
-and, now, if you would excuse me, I'm going to find a good health insurance (with dental cover) before I go to Dallas, TX.
PS by the way, nasfan6, what's the make and model for standard issue side-arm for the marines?
I wouldn't know Sancho, since I was in the Navy, but I know what sidearms are available for Navy Seals. I know what I carried when I was in, it was M1911a, but I left my military days behing me in 93. It used to be the Colt M1911a, for the marines, but when I got out they were using cheap 9mms as side arms. Sorry I wouldn't carry a 9mm to a bb gun fight. My personal fire arm is a Taurus 45 light easy to handle, easy to draw from a breakfront, has great hitting power, my back up piece is a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 cal, small light, used for close range. Any other Questions?????
Going to Dallas eh Sancho, you wouldn't by chance driving by the book depository in a convertable would you????
nasfan6,
Sorry, I'm only human, I couldn't resist. (to see your reaction to the mentioning of imported firearms...)
I wasn't there personally, but I think the cheap 9mms you mention were introduced already at the time of the first Gulf war (or even before). And that they were Berettas (i.e. 'foreign').
You say:"Sorry I wouldn't carry a 9mm to a bb gun fight" - FBI had similar thoughts, they went to a 10mm with a reasonably heavy load...
Your personal fire arms are impressive. Do you use 'soft-point'? Or do you allow for bullets to go straight through one criminal and three bystanders?
Your state certainly lives up the the image created by 'Walker, Texas Ranger'.
-I'll have a look at the book depository in Dallas, from a distance. I'll be the tourist with the bulletproof vest (under my shirt) and the helmet (under my hat). That should give me a 'heavy' walking style, just like John Wayne. Unfortunately it also cramps my running style!
PS nasfan6, if you don't mind going north a bit you could try shooting moose with a revolver - great fun!
Sancho,
After everything you've posted in this forum, the only thing you seem capable of shooting is your dick under the cover during a wet dream....keep Kleenex by your bedside.
GLTALLTOAD,
Thanks for the advice.
And I still think that a few not so well chosen words - including about history and/or politics - can make peoples blood presure raise very much very quickly.
-Which is the view-point I put forward earlier in this thread.
I am just a slow learner when it comes to figuring out exactly which subjects give violent reactions...
-Do you have any experince with teaching slow learners?
I wouldn't know about Walker Texas Ranger, I've never watched the show at all. Also in my state which is Indiana, I encourage anyone to
purchase a conceal and carry permit even if they don't own firearms.
Also 9mm's were introduced around 1982, way before the gulf war. Also Baretta is a generic name for most 9mm's. Baretta does manufacture a 9mm but if my memory serves me correct it was H&K Hecklar and Koch for military issue.
Also I don't use soft point, whatever the hell that is. Maybe you meant hollow point? Most lead is soft by nature. Another bit of info for you, Kevlar vests aren't very heavy. As far as what the FBI carries, who cares. Also learn something about projectile ballistics.
There is more of a chance of a 9mm passing through someone or bouncing
off a windshield than that of a 45 round.
Sancho you couldn't provoke a violent reaction out of me. I have a soft heart for mentally challenged people like yourself. Along with I
don't find killing a defenseless animal as sport. If you want a hunting challenge, I will extend this offer to you. We'll go to Tennessee and go on a wild boar hunt. I had a couple of friends that did it and they said it was a little scary to hunt something that could severely injure you.
As far as foreign firearms are concerned, The Taurus is manfactured in Brazil, it uses Smith and Wesson tooling. So what is your insinuation? That Americans are prejudiced against foreign firearms?
I wouldn't mind owning an Israeli Desert Eagle, either in a 50 Cal. or .357, but I'm not going to spend that kind of money for home or personal defense, when Taurus manufactures a excellent weapon. As military weapons go, AK-47, Czech FAL FN are fine weapons, Along with the Israeli Uzi.
You don't provoke violence here, you just stir up people by idiotic and banal comments you make that are absolutey foolish. As far as I'm concerned, I will refrain in answering any of your foolish responses
or inquiries. You're beginning to bore me. I would suggest others to do the same, that might make you go away or grow up, in either case it
would be an improvement. So my dear Sancho enjoy your search for a woman here, I sure it will be a long and frustrating one, until you mature a bit.
nasfan6,
Thanks for your response. I'm glad you are not easily provoked - even though I made that claim about people in general above. -for once I guess I should be happy to be proved wrong.
I still think that being a slow learner as I am, I should put some effort into learning:
1) when to keep my big mouth shut, and about what... (and it's better to learn it here than face to face in a pub...)
2) which issues 'set off' other people - so I know when to avoid being caught in the cross-fire...
re. hunting wild boar: My hand-eye coordinations is far too lousy - I would need a machine gun! -I assume you use a bolt action rifle (?)
PS -just so I am proven a little bit right: There was a march in Northern Ireland - to remember a battle 300 years ago - with the usual unrest, this year only with stone-throwing and petrol-bombs as far as I know. Some memories linger for a long time...
GLTALLTOAD, you wrote:

-you suggest that I 'get excited' (to use a euphemism from an old 'gum-shoe'-book/movie) over big guns? Actually, I have seen bigger guns than the ones people put under their pillow. The biggest one-person non-vehicle-mounted was made in Finland, the 20mm Lahti anti-tank rifle could penetrate the armour of the Sovjet T26 - but not the T34.
Re. "...Also Baretta is a generic name for most 9mm's. Baretta does manufacture a 9mm but if my memory serves me correct it was H&K Hecklar and Koch for military issue. ..."
I have a picture of a US Marine firing his Beretta92F during the 1991 Gulf War. I also have a picture of US Navy SEALs - showed using Beretta 92F.
Beretta is an Italian company.
Heckler & Koch is German.
-just some trivia for you gun-enthusiasts...
GLTALLTOAD, you wrote:
"...good idea....no more responses to sancho till he grows up, lol... "
-you work out a definition of 'grows up' (so I can know what to aim for, and you can decide when the goal has been reached), while I find an insurance company to insure my dental work - as recommended above...
(and I promise that I shall never knowingly bring a knife to a gun fight - besides, 'security' in the airport does not like it at all...even my Swiss army knife they took...)
Then we can all get back to 'Estonia and Latvia' ...
