We must follow through. I have family there and Afganistan and both tell me that the people want them there and are very thankful. Even our own local member from Iraq has commented his thanks to our presence and I am proud of our actions and service to our world community. My young cousin will be the third family member to see action in Iraq and she ships our in 3 weeks. Thats right she signed up in the Marines and is a medivac nurse. 20 years old. Again I think history will correct the spin and people will realize that what is going on had to happen and will help bring peace to an area of the world that does not know what it is. Though I have to believe that those in the wedding party who stopped, shocked, at QC's nakedness as he ran down the street having been robbed by his hooker friend - were probably more taken by his lack of....a male feature, than by his lack of clothes. When they(female friends) visit my house and they see pictures of my adventures and some of the most pretty slender women that i met and dated in FSU , They for the most part change the conversation or feel intimidated. When i state they over there still from what i felt was obvious was that they still feel the man holds the throne and family comes before career, they(my female friends) can get quite uncomfortable and their husbands or boyfriends smile and it is time to leave. Usually the women they want me to meet are overweight women who smoke with children and have good careers. Remember, of course, that American women resent the hell out of FSU women - and the idea of American men going over there to find one who is likely smarter, younger and better all around than the choices that are generally available to us here. I have heard more than one American woman exclaim on hearing of entire idea "So they're taking all the good American men!" If she DOESN'T know of your FSU interests - it could be something lse entirely. Women (especially hot ones) are ALWAYS having any available guy make a move toward them. They expect it. And resent it (a little). And actually wonder if there is something wrong with THEM (the inborn little insecurities that they have) if it doesn't happen. That is one reaso why showing absolutely no interest seems to be a turn-on for them. They will describe the feeling as a relief, as in "It's so nice to be around *guy*, its such a relief. He is one of the few who isn't always hitting on me." And its a challenge. (And it explains the unnatural attraction many hot babes have for actually gay guys!) I have to admit I have had the same phenomenom since I have started my quest in the FSU. Women are suddenly available all over the place. But having already been to the FSU and seen what was available - I realize the best here have nothing on what is available there. So I continue with my reslove not to settle for an American women.
