I've been reading through the posts and trying to absorb as much as I can. There's a lot, as you can imagine. I registered on 5-31 and so far I've gotten some responses from the ladies, but only one so far that i'm interested in. She actually answers my questions. Two others I would be interested in, but their responses seem to be "canned". I've actually received the same letter twice from one girl. LOL. That's understandable because I have a hard time keeping track of who I've responded to and what I said. My first newbie question: There are two girls that I've written to and I've received e-mails indicating that they read my letters, but so far no response. What do I make of this?? It could be good or bad I suppose. Do the ladies send this indication or is it automatic? From their profiles, I would think that their english level is good enough to respond faster without a need for translation. If they aren't interested, is this their way of telling me that? Maybe they're just busy doing girl stuff. I have no idea. If they aren't interested, then I don't want to send another letter to bug em. You ask if you should 'bug' them if they don't respond. YES you should, if you're really, genuinely are interested in them. Sometimes the girls have the letters read to them over the phone and it may take a couple of days for them to respond. They don't run to their agencies right away and respond to your letters. In most cases if they weren't interested you would recieve a letter back indicating this. Since you've been on here only a few days don't get overly excited about receiving or not receiving responses in a quick manner. Don't limit yourself in your letter writing. I agree with Thunder also, you have to make yourself stand out among the rest. Take it slow and easy, I understand the excitement of this new adventure, but be prudent and also be honest with the ladies you write. The first letter I received from Larissa was a "canned" introduction letter. If I would have blown that off for being canned I would have missed out on the most wonderful woman I've ever had the pleasure to meet in my life. Many of her letters in the beginning were very short and to the point. They have lives of their own and many are busy. Most travel by public transportation and hopping in the car and going to the agency isn't always the easiest thing to do. Some have phones and cell phones some do not. So be patient, also if the girl interests you, write a follow up letter. Be Pro-active in your letter writing. Write a few girls, see what happens. Just as we rise to the top of their list, she will rise to the top of yours. I wrote many ladies in the first few months on here, then It came down to writing just Larissa. Simple rules, as always, NEVER SEND MONEY! My second Rule IF YOU TELL A GIRL YOU ARE GOING TO DO SOMETHING DO IT! The respect and love you will receive is by far more than any inconvenience you may have to go through to do it. I have been to many places and done many things in my life, but this by far has been the most incredible journey I have ever taken. I wish I would have done this 10 years ago.
