Hey Addy, this was something that was discussed a couple of years ago with Ptichka. Something that many Americans use the phrase, "The Ukraine", which is somewhat insulting to the native Ukrainian. It makes a reference that The Ukraine is a demographic region of some larger country when in fact it is a country in itself. Actually Russia was a spinoff of Ukraine. In it's inception it was Kievskaya Rus' (I may have misspelled that, the interpreter is gone for the moment) which is now today the Country of Ukraine. Just some FYI on Ukrainian history.
First of all cite the bad words I have used about you? Bimbo? After you're loving Danny referred to my wife as a whore. Nice guy. I leave women out of this but since you are willing participants you get what you deserve. I have read your posts and agree with Martin. Nothing constructive. Only coming to the aid of Danny and trying to say what wonderful man he is. Well wonderful men to refer to women as whores, or buying a wife. Hell he's paying for a partner which in legal terms is not a wife. So he needs to speak to a solicitor regarding his real estate investment. Good men do not insult innocent ladies, good and strong men don't have women come to his defense in a forum, they stand on their own two feet.
Any guy with a brain in his head would steor clear of Danny in Chelny. So since you want to participate here, you are fair game. At least have the courage to use your own handles instead of the shell game you play with names behind the Salon1/Salongirls/Danny3777 name.
I like Martin am waiting for the proof of the constructive post. Since you are looking for a foreign man, you better step up your game.
Yes Martin I remember someone else saying you didn’t have a wife in Ukraine. Im sure you strenuously insisted that you did.
But maybe you don’t have a wife in Ukraine and you don’t ever visit there. What ever.
Just going on what you say.
Nas, Ptichka was a bright girl with good English skills.
I think the salon girls are relevant. If they do want to find a western guy, then their motivation is interesting to me. The more women that post the better snapshot we get of what FSU women are really like.
Smart girls like Ptichka, read this forum and then marry a man from Ukraine :)
The Ukraine. I met some Ukrainian people, teaching English to other Ukrainians. They would always say "The Ukraine" about their own country in English. I questioned them on this, and said I was told it is only "Ukraine".
But they said that they were taught this is an exception and always "The Ukraine", which is why they say and teach it themselves. And they work in 1 of the biggest language schools in Ukraine.
Adman,
No, you're going on what I said, not what I say, and something that would have been said some 2 or more years ago.
My wife relocated from Ukraine in November 2006 and I haven't been to Ukraine, as we speak, since February 2007 and if you can find anything that I say/said to contradict that then please feel free.
I will go with Ptichka and my wife who say that addressing their country as "The Ukraine" is not correct and somewhat insulting. That would be like referring to Switzerland as The Switzerland, The Germany etc. Unlike referring to "The United States" which is plural because of the individual states involved creating a single country.
Addy you are correct on one thing. Ptichka was not only a smart girl but her input here helped many guys come to understand the care and feeding of the ladies of Ukraine. She was the only woman here that posted that I can't recall her being derogatory in her comments. She had a sincerity about helping us guys out. She cut straight through the BS. Though I would disagree with you on the Salon Girls as being relevant. Like I said in another post, if they are serious they need to step up their game, though I really doubt their sincerity.
step up the game for to help forum , kgb have to you see i the member on fiance? do i not able to use or say my letters to forum . is it not public or place for only you?
Whoever this guy is that said "Ukraine Is A Hoax" doesn't know what he is talking about. Yes, Odessa and Kiev have lots of money, but only 5% of the population own the wealth there. There rest are quite poor. Spend some time with the people who live there and you will quickly discover that the live on very little and their dwellings/housing are very small flats. You have to go there to see for yourself. I have been fortunate enough to meet several folks from Odessa who now live in the States. This is what they have told me. And yes, they go back to Odessa every year to visit family. I also, have a friend in Texas who conducts business in Odessa and he tells me the same. He is actually taking me there in February.
Remmeber that on dating sites about ...
25 percent of the women are scammers
25 percent of the of them are serious
50 percent are just curious
Macca it is an interesting thing that Ukraine English teachers use “The Ukraine” As you know it is not normal to call countries, states or providences with “the” article. It would seem the name “The Ukraine” comes from the geo feature of the area, as you would say; The Sahara Desert or The Ukraine Steppe. An association with another country would not normally apply.
It would seem normal if the area becomes a country the article would be dropped in the name of the country. One is talking about a country not a geo feature.
To continue to describe the area as The Ukraine would be to acknowledge the special feature of the area. To be offended by the use of the article would be to deny or be offended by the lands unique feature.
Surely?
My girlfriend thinks Ukrainians are more interested if its "The Grivna" or Grivna and how much of The Grivna they have )
Here "the" is sometimes used to single out or to boast about i.e. "I am THE man" or "THE Ohio State University." So at first glance one could misunderstand the use of "The Ukraine" as being proud or separating themselves from all others. I didn't know it was insulting. My bad, I'll stop saying it.
It's U-k-r-a-i-n-e, M-o-r-o-n. When you speak of ugly you have that topic covered, your daily visitation to a mirror re-inforces your expertise in this subject. Since you can't speak or write correctly I can see how that sounds okay to you. Or is this the girls posting under Danny today or when will danny post under the girls name again?
Come on guys it is no big deal! It used to be Russia and The Ukraine, now it is Russia and Ukraine. Most Americans call it The Ukraine execpt for a select few. In Russian it is Uk-ra-eena so the "The" is an English language issue. Enough already, it really does not matter!!!
I doubt in danny the cross dresser. Successful????? Really You tell us you're successful but most guys that are don't talk about it so much. Though you are one ignorant troll that's for sure. Meeting, God it can't be soon enough. Next time you kiss your partner it will be through your fly. You talk like a big man, but you're all mouth. I've seen it before.
P.S. guys who claim to be Seals are on the Sr. Chiefs Hall of Shame. I've never claimed to be one and neither is my name in that hall. So you figure it out for yourself loudmouth.
I THOUGHT I smelled garbage wafting in. Now I realize the source. house-briber-danny is back. (You all remember - the guy who can't get a woman to sleep with him without promising a house).
The guy who finds comfort in a forum where NOBODY LIKES HIM. But then claims he has an appealing personality and that women fall for his fat butt.
And I'd to know how he considers that he has been more 'sucsesfull' than me. Unlike one, in particular, I do not brag about my relationship, I do not consider my personal relationship to be something to brag about, I respect my wife too much to do that and, likewise, I do not post her photos on the internet to, again, brag.
So I'm obviously happier in my relationship than one who needs to make a lot of noise in attempt to convince others, probably himself also, that he has 'scored' and both parties are happy. But, not prepared to brag about my wife, I'm not going to respond to him, in the childish manner that he so obviously taunts and wants, that my wife is better than his girlfriend but, let's put it this way, I'm not expecting the dog catcher to be calling anytime soon.
adman, they don't expect you to know Ukrainian. if a girl genuinely likes you she will learn english. she knows she will eventually leaver her country. if she's not learning english for you, she's not that into you.
by the way, 'the ukraine' is only an insult to over sensitve losers. i live in the usa. but if someone dropped the 'the' while mentioning it, I'D BE OK WITH THAT.
guys, don't learn russian to impress a girl. do these things:
get in the best shape possible for you
dress nice (leave the sneakers at home)
make yourself interesting (if your not already) by reading interesting books and hanging out with interesting people
