Back in the days of the Soviet union they couldn't complain in case somebody grassed them or they would get little truck with someone in the same boat. Times are hard in Ukraine right now same as everywhere else. They're probably more able to cope with it there since they didn't have much to loose in the first place. Even in the good times they still complained....usually about their men I read somewhere that if a Russian woman didn't have any problems she would buy a pig. Colin, I read your posts with interest. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Couple fo yeas ago I was in the same postion as you...but not married to her. She came here and decided it was not for her. I think she liked me alot, went to see her once after that and still communicate. Thing is...Lately she has been making a lot of noise about the economy there, how prices have went up and how much of a struggle it is now. Without directly asking its my belief she is wanting me to send her money. I wouldn't be against sending her some cash to help her out because I know her. But something tells me I don't really know her anymore. She is so closed to me now since all she does is tell me how bad it is and when can I come to see her again. It's as if she thinks she's got me where she wants me. When I go there I usually leave whatever I have in dollars I can't use. So now our relationship is this: come and f**k me, leave your spare change and go home. Works well in practice but doesn't make for anything meaningful. Something to consider in your case. I believe this woman liked me as I have said and in some ways it was a fantastic relationship, but I don't believe deep down either of us thought we would be together for ever. I'm a great believer in the saying "be careful what you wish for..it may come true" I hope I'm wrong in my take on your situation...I really do, because you seem like a nice guy.
