What initially I wanted to say was "And despite even if we lived a very poor life, my parents would be the first to kill me for getting married for money, I'm not talking ABOUT a foreigner but ABOUT a local rich man." It was theoretical talking.
Thank you Dale E!!! It is nice to know that some people do understand what I initially wanted to say:))) I can only say that women who are proud they never get married for money, but many of them die of hunger and without any money. This silly (I think that being proud is very nice to some extent, but some people don't think so) pride never gives the chance to ask for material help...
:)))))) that's right, and I also would vote for humor and faith in the future...without them, I think that some people would not have the courage to go on
Well said Ptichka !!
I agree, many FSU families would be disgusted if their daughters, neices, aunts or sister were to marry anyone for anything other than love !!!
I understood what you had said perfectly well the first time !!
That no matter where the man was from, your family would be deeply hurt and offended if you married a man for his money. I understood that you did Not mean your family would be angry or upset if you married a foreigner !! They would be happy for you to do so provided it was for love and not for material gain.
You dont need to appoligise for what you wrote Ptichka, it made sense to those of us who read it properly ;o))
Thank you TimH a lot for your kind words, but I like it when people understand me from the first time, as I studied to work with documents it's just a habit for everything to be smoothly and no misunderstandings, so it's just something like a professional habit already:)))) Besides having a little of drink now for my friend and her newly born child, so I have a great mood, and any misunderstandings would upset me, and I don't want that:)
Some people tend to read what they want to read, or dont read it properly before they start bashing keys in reply :o))
What you said made perfect sense to me :o))
You dont even think about getting upset !!! You enjoy the happiness for your friend and dont worry about this silly place tonight ;o))
TimH, I don't think that it's a silly place, I really enjoy being here. And it's a good place to keep me in the good mood while writing a report to the University.
Good that what I told had a good sense for you, actually I didn't doubt about that!!!:)
I misunderstood your words completely...I present you my deepest apologies and my not so humble and very opinionated head on a plastic platter....I'm sorry.
I did not misunderstand you pticchka, there is only one moral reason to marry and we all know that it is for love, and dor a meeting of minds, I found no problem with your grammar.
Please do not abandon us, I for one value the input from the female perspective,
Thank you.
I cannot remember the name of the peson who provoked your commment, but he does appear to have a superior western attitude and be living in a time warp, I understand he has been hurt and treated badly, but that is not a solely fsu issue, there are bad women every where
I agree 1000000%.
Marrying for money is flat out evil and what the vast majority of western women do, usually at their husbands' expense and for their own individual gain, I may add.
On their hand, marrying just for love is wreckless, irresponsible and a recipe for future discord and resentment between spouses.
GLTALL It's the old story in the american judicial system. What do American women and a Tornado have in common? They both end up getting the house.
I myself would prefer to marry for love, If I had true love, being poor isn't something you really notice. My parents had that kind of love. They didn't have much material, but they had more than I ever had. So who is really poor in one's eyes?
In the states women don't marry for money, they divorce for it, my ex hit a cash cow. And I didn't even get a kiss!!!!!!!
Ptichka:
Everything you say makes sense to me :o))
I wasnt saying this place is genuinly silly dear, I just meant you have much more happy things to think about this evening, than explaining yourself to the people who missunderstand you :o))
Trad:
"there are bad women every where"
Here here !!!!
There are 100s of the buggers hear !! *beating them off with sticks* !!
Personally I feel "pre nups" are a baltant way of saying, "I love you, enough to marry you, but Ill be f*cked if Im going to trust you"
Sorry guys, but if any woman handed me one I would throw it back at her as I walked out the door, and I wwouldnt blame any woman for doing exactly the same to any man who handed her one !!
"Pre nup" nope, "Premonition of disaster"
is what they should be called.
To hand one over is admitting that you think its going to fail before it even starts. Im not a fatalist !!!
Yep,...I've gotta go with you on this one Tim. I would never sign pre nups or ask a woman to sign them. If I lose everything....then I lose everything. ...Well........ I've already lost everything once. But I don't like what "pre nup" insinuates.
I gotta agree with Tim and Man on this, too. My divorce was a 50/50 split with everything we had. She got about $35,000 of stuff. I got the $35,000 bill. That took me a few years to pay off. Then, the child support, was costing me around $2000/month. I survived it all.
Would I push a non-trust document in a future wife's face? No way. I figure that if I trusted her enough to want to marry her, then I have to take my chances that she's not related to my american ex.
