I must say, as I am still new to this, that I am quite amused. When I first started searching the Ukraine/Russian woman idea that I was very taken by the number of very attractive younger ladies who indicated a man of 50, even 55 were in their age range. 30+ yrs diff. I can only assume that maybe there are a few who actually believe this themselves. Very early a few on this post have provided good insight to the "age difference" dilemma. I have actually discovered - only by reasoning of letters - that there are women who are thirty who would do very well with a man of fifty. And after having met a couple, one who wanted to have kids but in subsequent correspondance was willing to go through life without that chance, and another who straight up was willing to forego the child desire to be with me, I can say that it dependes on the person. Perhaps I am a desirable person. Maybe they are bullshitting. But I have no doubts as to the sincerety of the two ladies involved. Yet I went for an older maiden. The specifics are that we had corresponded enough to know we had very much in common. And similar life goals. She is only 11 yrs younger than I. But I dismissed the idea of a twenty something younger lady for many of the reasons stated earlier. Sure if I spent the next five years gong through the process of "interviewing" a hundred young women I may have found one that fit the bill. But realistically why? I have dicovered a lady who in no uncetain terms I feel compatable with. Intellect is foremost in my desire. So to be taken by a hot young thing for the only reason of having a good looking, young and sexy woman is of no consequence to me. Nor should it be to anyone looking to have a realistic and lasting relationship with a woman. Does she pass the "eyes closed" test? Regardless of how she looks now - if of course you are in this for the long run - is this a person who in twenty years you can sit on the back porch and have a meaningful conversation with? That was my goal. And to not have to explain life and teach her the ills of society. Maybe I am one who got lucky and found a lady that had her shit together and was in the same boat as I. But I never even gave a second thought to bringing a sweet young hotty to America. The odds are against it succeeding in the long run. Age is just a number. And if you have a connection with someone much younger and it lasts, good for you. But the chances of that being a reality are slim. But I dont beleive there are many GIRLS that would be remotly suited to our 50's habits and lyfstles :-) I have always said 15 yrs MAX !!! Anymore and and you a riding for a hiding, we (my wife and I) know of many younger (in 20's) who have gone to America and Canada, all but one fell apart within 2 years. The one that is still going seems to be more of a business relationship, they are both in a business were he needs her and she needs him, They get along fine, but the romour has it that she has a bit on the side. Izi (Steve) started this thread - nice guy. I likened him to a loose cannon. He put in an immense effort but seemed to go out off half cocked (no pun intended)and went up dead end roads every time. It was very difficult and frustrating times back then, going through the immigration process and in fear that we would be rejected and our lives shattered. But - it wasn’t all the difficult either now looking back. Need to keep focused - take advice on here and vent your frustrations on here and have someone kick you in the arse and bring you back to earth and on track again helps also. It was all worth it – that’s for sure !!!!!!! I think it is important for a whole host of reasons and it IS far more complicated than simply moving in together. Add international, particularly 7-10 thousand miles international, age gap, language gap, culture gap and there is a world of difference between marriage and hunting around the FSU singles scene. Those who choose to discount the differences are very welcome to do so but.......... It is also worth remembering the entire world is not located in Europe and FWIW Russia is Asia. Many guys married to a Russian woman would not be easily convinced they married an Asian. Russians (Mrs Included) pass it off on the “Asiatic” basis. That said, undoubtedly Europeans have many advantages in the pursuit of RW, of course distance and not least of all, somewhat closer cultural or historic ties. I think the “Euros”, if they have their eyes open, have the best singles bar in the world right at their back door into which they can walk pretty much any time. My wife might be of a light complexion, she might be of Russian (birth) nationality, she might be a Ukrainian passport holder but she was born in Uzbekistan and, technically, that makes her Asian which I had great joy in shooting my ex boss down in flames with. If I dare call her, to her face, an Asian then I'm in big trouble. :) But sorry to disappoint you Dunromin, Russia, as far east as the Ural mountains, is in Europe as are such countries as Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus etc. Are you seriously trying to tell me that, as an example, the Russian Federation city of Kaliningrad is in Asia? I haven't heard from Toad in over three years. I think this was some sideline hobby for him not really sure. Yes those were the good old days.
