Lovely prose, I did enjoy the part of the AK47. Well with a combat zero of apporximately 200 meters, I will prefer my Remington 700 300 magnum. It's kind of like Ma Bell it will reach out and touch someone.
And it has such a whisper to it. Save your sabre rattling for some one else to intimidate. This crap isn't needed here and many of us have already looked down the barrel of an AK. So here is my field manual for you. 1 Stick Flash suppressor in mouth. 2 Pull trigger.
Almost makes me want to wear my t-shirt that says, don't try to run you will just die tired.
may those unable to pull latin-written Russian through a translator also know why certain posts evaporate here?
Not having seen the original post, but having read the later one's, I hunch that the basic accusation launched is: participants here are unwelcome empty-headed idiots. Hardly reason for removal surely? In fact such opinions should remain for they just add to demonstrate the diversity of opinions, an ever-present fact anywhere in the world.
If removed for other reasons I'd be interested to hear them, ditto for being wrong in my assumption.
Shipa,
I'm sure many russian do not want to speak anything else but their own language.
However, russian or FSU women with the vision of a better life elsewhere in the world know that being able to communicate in different languages is a fundamental skill to attract elegible, available and willing western bachelors.
If these women want a man and a life in Great Britain or the US they must learn to speak English.
If the want to live in France, then french must be learnt.
If the want to live in Australia, they must learn to speak cangooroo, wrestle with 'gappies' and throw boomerangs...
And on and on and on.
So do yourself a favor and get off this false "learn MY language" high horse you're riding.
Nobody here is trying to FORCE any woman to move away from her beloved motherland or keeping them from speaking their beloved Russian language.
Toad ..you dont know that russian is language of whole working class in the world...at least it was told at school! Im sure about half population of Russia have still that opinion!
OK, I'm a Russiaan woman and my husband is an New-Zealander, a professor of economoces at the UN.of California. But, because, he respect me, my family, my country - he learns Russian. It is not that I can not speak English
that is - but, please, it does not matter witch languege we are using - why to use an American one - my husband is becoming crazy hearing this variant of a normal British English. And I will speak my home Russian, because I was born here and I'll be find my grave here, I do not want to change your attitude, but - if some people do not want to use YOUR languege - do not think that they are wrong. Sincerely, Shipa
No, you're not wrong. American English is basically an accent. It originates from an historically older Britain, but because of the many years past, and add the sheer size of the continent it is spoken in, I'm sure it is regarded as a language now.
However, your hubby's default language is as far removed from 'British' as American is, let's be very clear here. Please realize both sound to 'BBC-English' ears as rape, and let us keep the Aussies out of this :)
Russian probably is older than English, at least the roots are, and such may be used by some as an argument to defend it's superiority. However, if age matters in this respect we all ought to speak Khoi. If we did the world would be a silent place as this language is extinct, and only remnants remain in Bushman, a tribe already diluted and disappearing.
Those of us here being multilingual have distinct advantages over those speaking a single lang only. You and I are part of the former, and isn't it nice we can communicate this way? Because I don't speak your language, and trust me you don't speak mine, we use what we've got in common - wether we like it or not ;-)

Thank you for thinking that I'lookimg around to find an american, or other foreing man - I have MY man - and, I think, he is much more honest, because he is not thinkig about a nationality, but he loves. Is it difficult to understand? I love my country, as well as you, what is wrong with THAT? MY MOTHERLAND - IS RUSSIA, YOUR COUNTRY - IS Somethingtlse. Well,
let respect each other. Etc. My husband can speake 5 languagies + Russian (ht tries). So, if you think that I'm sitting here, dreaming about an idiotic american bachelors, give me a brake!!! You can sit and dream about normal women, privet feminismu! I am not thinking to move from MY country, but if you want to come here - you are welcome. You'll have your on room and food. Mafiya is not sitting around the corner, belive me,
Sincerely, Shipa
Shipa,
My home and my country are wherever I hang my hat, dear.
After living in or visiting 35 countries I have shed the last renmants of anything that could be considered nationalism, which is in most cases, a tool demagogues use to manipulate the masses.
I don't understand why you felt the need to post such vulgar paragraph with blanket "F you this, F you that, idiotic americans, etc etc..".
I seek a woman from eastern europe to make my wife and love for the rest of my life, shipa. Nothing more, nothing less.
And every single one of the potential candidates I currently talk to agrees she needs to speak English even if she and I can also communicate in Spanish, Italian or Portuguese.
Shipa, most men want and will marry women willing to relocate to their man's home countries, not russia or anywhere else in FSU.
I enjoy learning about the russian culture as a hobby, not as a necessity.
I will NEVER consider living in a country so rife with goverment corruption like Russia.
And after having lived in the Caribbean for a few years, I must admit my blood has thinned down to levels that no longer consider
subfreezing winters as anything close to 'civilized'
You can keep it all to your pretty self, shipa...now go put on another layer of clothes. Your brain is freezing.
Annika,
Little by little the lies and so called truths the former soviet system fed to their people are beginning to disappers with exposure to truly free systems of governing and other cultural exchanges.
I would never hold it against the russian people for the lies they have been fed for over 70 years.
Oh, well, I think that I'm talking to a normal people - who can make a difference between a nationalism and a love and respect to your own country. I'm respecting your feelings and I know that here are a lot of wounderful cities and countries in the World. I traveled a lot, not 35 countries, but enough to realize that home - ia a home, and other country is not my country. OK, my brain is freezing, but still I respect other opinions - but what the hell if my husband is learnig Russian? He wants to speak to my daughter and my sister,my mom and dad in their own languege. What is wrong with that? Why a love to Russia is a crime? Did you live here, what do you know about my country. I spent some time in the USA, and what - here is no any corruption? Why a man can not live in his wife's country - are you speaking about a democracy or equal rights between a man and woman. My husband spent here, in Moscow, a year -and what? It was the most happy year of his life. Toad, I'm sorry that I used a BAD lauguage, normally I'm not so much into that - but anyone will keep telling me something bad about MY Russia - sorry - I will do it again. I will travel from Feb,2 untill May,16, but you can send your messagies - my daughter will transfer that to me,
Think a little bit more, about you and you opinion.
P.S To a Freebird, thank You for your advise, I did it - and it helped! Nice to talk to a wise man, have a wonderful weekend!
There is NOTHING wrong with loving your country if you want too... In fact this is A freedom something at least I completely support. I would live elsewhere with a foriegn wife if it is feasible. I have nothing against that but remember... the new wife can often bring her children with her, the man normally cannot, so this might be why you see alot of divorced older american men wanting theyre wives to move to theyre country. Wouldnt you want to be around your child/children? Alot of men here can get american women, we just dont want them, we admire the women from your country and theyre family ethics and attitude towards marriage. There are good american women, not all are liberal sluts.... But the ones that arent are normally married and any sane man will hang onto them )))) at our age I mean. Some men want younger wives that want A man 10-20 years older, you see maturity and stability is not as valued where I come from ( from my opinion ). Now this all being said.... I will concede A point having often traveled.. Americans tend to act like everyone should speak english...... we can be self centered and yes our culture is obviously not perfect, but we have alot of good things too. Now in order to become A citizen you have to be able to speak english, at least from what I have read... so that might be another reason you see americans asking for that.
I am trying to learn russian for A couple of reasons... I speak english ( native ) spanish ( very well ) Arabic (working). If I learn russian I will be able to communicate in the 4 mostly used languages in the world ~))

thank you for reply, many of you do not know Russia, well, you are whathing CNN, where everything, all news are awful. I am not looking for any western men, I'm happy im my marrige with an New Zealender , we are living together for 7 years, and my Lisa (my daughter) is not making any problems for us. Now we want to adopt 2 russian kids and to be happy, as much as we can. I think that a man (as well as a woman) MUST be defended at home, and to be sure that his home is his fortress. And loving people around you - will always support you and help,
hope, that you are having that, and my very best wish and good luck!! Shipa
P.S Oh, if you will know my Russia, you would be surprised!
Dears Freebird and Toad, that is page is about a Russia-Ukraine policy or situation. For me -that is not something - who-knows-where-it-is-going, but my mom was born in Kiev, and she and my granny had to run away, because their home was bombed. My mom was 5 years old at that time, and my grandmom died when she was 33. 33 only, and I never saw her. A grave only. Yes, we are living not at the most perfect country, but that is our country, as well as Ukraine, where we still have a lot of relatives. Anyhow,I got another deep breath, thank you, Freebird!, ( well, I'm feedind tits on my balcony, probably they are free too). Have a nice day and weekend, Shipa
you were so much short in your message, thank you sooooo much. Explain, please, your pff, hmmf, WOOHAA, everything about a deep breath - is clear. Thanks, Shipa
