WTF? First of all, Rick has given you the best advice - especially on the "putting your foot down." About the agencies - THEY ARE ALL SCAMS. I am American and live in Ukraine off and on for the past 3 years and once in 2002. No matter what anyone says, do not use an agency and I would also not use a translator from an agency. Many women get paid to write letters regardless if they want to meet you or not. Mamba is free so if the girl likes you she will respond. But I will suggest going out of the bigger cities like Kiev and Odessa and look in Nikolaev and Kherson or even the small villages. Nikolaev, like Odessa, has a street blocked off where no cars can drive. Literally hundreds of women walk down this street daily. It is always best to find women on the street. Do not let them think you have money. Do not buy anything for them for a week or so unless it is dinner (and not an expensive dinner). If a woman likes you and she wants to live with you, she will more than likely mention it. If you mention it, she says yes, then makes an excuse about family, you need to get rid of her. I am currently in Nikolaev, but will probably move to Kiev because of a job opportunity. If you want to meet, I will discuss best ways to do things here with you where you will save a lot of money. You mentioned buying an apt in Kiev. You can buy 2 in that price or maybe 3 on the main street here and even rent them out with little problem. I also do some money making online by article writing, but I will meet you if you want, help you easily find a woman without waiting for a letter or response by phone (I will find you one in the same day). All I ask for is for you to show me how you make money online. But I will find you a date or a few first. Just stay away from the agencies. Oh - men here for the most part do not treat women bad. Reply with email and I will help if you want.

I would almost agree with nightly. I would never use a translator. If a woman doesn't speak passable English, how motivated is she to find a man from over seas? The willingness to not use a translator also severely limits the amount the agency can make from you. When I met my fiancee she had a translator with her despite saying she spoke intermediate english. By the end of the first evening there the translator said I had to pay her because my fiance had told her that her services were no longer needed.

Hi WTFisgoinon, Are you still planning to go to Ukraine to live and find a girl? I immigrated to Australia from Ukraine at age 6 and plan to head back for a while and maybe find a girl while there - knowing fluent Russian and something about the culture may help on that front...
