I mean how difficult is it to set up a front since you can't really walk next door to check it out. I met with a girl from anastasia and almost another. My friend met with 3 of 4 girls he planned to meet. He met with his girls multiple times. Isn't this your ladies from Kherson and Nikolaev? Supposed to meet you in Odessa??? If so, it never seemed feasible to me. You HAVE to visit them in their own cities, going anywhere else can become a nightmare. As I have been saying for quite sometime, for serious girls age does not matter as much as the the girl herself, if a girl is sincere, there is no way to put an age on her. Ok, well this was later agreed and she had been told by me that I would visit Nikolaev for a few days. After booking the dam hotel she then goes and tells me she can only meet me for 1 meal one evening and thats it. Strikes me she cant really be serious if thats the best she can do despite me spending a fortune and lots of my time to get there. I understand your flight leaves in 2 days. Now your lady has canceled which was not surprising when you said she was staying in your apartment without ever meeting you before. Get yourself a native speaking guide. At least talk to the lady I gave you contact info for and get her phone number so you can call for help if you need it. When you get into the airport you can buy a cheap telephone for under $100 or could a year ago. Buy a sim card and some minutes. Have the guy in the phone store put it in and change the display language to English. Call this number +380506883195 if you need help. Irina is an English professor at Kharkov University and can give advice on the phone or send a guide to you. If it was me I would contact her before going. If you were on a shoe string budget I could have sympathy for you but with the income you say you make it would seem silly to me to go in there blind and hope you can figure it out with a several thousand dollar investment when you could spend less than $100 per day and have professional help with you. lex_rock Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 11/22/2007 5:17:06 PM   well my experience with Anastasia is really bad, i met a girl over the net and exchanged a lot of letters with her and actually went to Odessa last year, I met with a translator at the airport (and the girl was supposed to be with her - and wasnt! which i can understand). But her first response was you do not look like any of your pictures.. and then after some small talk she took me to my hotel then demanded some us dollars for the service she provided also she gave me a no. for a driver! she said she would fix up a date and asked if i wanted to see other women etc.. after many phone calls she said she'd get back to me an never did! never heard from her again.. well i would of if i had phoned her independantly but got fed up after 4days! so think this website is a total scam! I believe they just want u to go on one of their planned trips so they can get ur money an they probably buy these women (probably give these woman small amountts of money to do this).. My advice for anyone looking to meet an girl in these countries is if you are really serious, take a trip independantly stay for a few weeks maybe rent an apartment which is really cheap an hang out in some bars etc.. I have a lot of foreign friends an they tell me especially places like prague (czech republic) the women really love the english accent an there are so many pretty women!! My main advice is do not pay for these credits on that site!.. use ur money better by buying a ticket and stay in the country instead! UNLESS ANYONE CAN PROVE ME WRONG? It can strike you as a scam, and there might legitimately be scams there, but I did the ol' 'write her at another, legit agency' trick with a couple of very attractive girls and they both replied right in line with what was at Anastasia. Despite both seeming to be 'canned', they were just as canned away from Anastasia. My thoughts - these girls just have awful personalities. (Why do you think they use internet dating sites??) Haven't travelled to see any yet. It could be YOU. You might be running off in a hormonally fueled head-on charge that frightens the birds out of the field, so to speak. You can't just lunge at women and assume they are lunging toward you like a mirror image. You could be scary if you don't use a lot of patience and tact. They probably think we are a grab bag of murderers, sex maniacs, and wife beaters... only likely since the gripers tend to classify the women as scammers, abusers, fakes, and users. 'I don't really trust these women, I don't trust these sites, i don;t trust anyone that disappoints me!!' is an attitude that tells me a lot about the people writing the notes. That same attitude might be coming across in your correspondence to the girls, who then duck in the airport to see who you are, and react with instant skepticism when they see your wild eyed, bald, aging heads peeking about like starved tigers when you get out of the gates. I have so far met or been stood up by about 12 from their site, and I do not think that there was a genuine, honest bone in any of them. I've only been on for a couple months. It is just a vehicle for me. Try to write for only couple months before a meeting since it is a site primed for being milked. I met 1 of 2 this past time and my friend 3 of 4. I have now received 100 incoming letters (yes, believe me this is no B.S.) incoming letters. I have not replied to ANY. (2) faces I recognized from another site with whom I wrote both ladies and we mutually agreed to not write anymore! So that 2% I know were written by a translator. I think everybody here or anywhere have pre written letters to send girls at beginning of correspondence....even a second letter and sometimes even a third letter. Why spend so much time writing a letter to a girl and you get answer back not interested. Just a feeling out period. I do in fact know that a couple letters I got from girls on this site that don't write to me anymore I got from anastasia, so some are just sent out to whomever. I complained to anastasia about form letters since they advertise that their letters are not. It just seems "out of order", here when I have been on several known U.S. dating sites in the past sending out hundreds of "flirts", "IOI's", etc. I've gotten few responses unsolicited or solicited. So here I do the same thing on this site and I get 100. Something is amiss. I mean I have average looks and not standing next to a Ferrari in the photo so I just find it hard to believe that 100 women actually looked at my photo, clicked and sent me a letter. For an agency to send the letter (without the ladies permission) seems inappropriate don't you think? One lady in particular we both liked each other and wrote back and forth several times, then I mentioned the "no kids" thing and we parted writing- even she was one of those unsolicited letters! I don't mind thou, if this was a simple process, competition would be high and there would be thousands of guys stepping on each other. It is quite likely that non of the ladies know that their intro letter has been sent to you.
