Unfortunately my year writing someone from the Allure Agency was a complete waste of time and money. They are 100% a definite scam. I've always been told to back that up by writing other girls which I have been doing. However...now I am questioning everything and wonder if this one girl named Vera Konovalchik #GL52038679 is on the up and up. Everything seems okay, but so did my dealings with Allure Marriage Agency. I am just wondering if anyone out there deals with Globaladies and what they think about them and also if anyone has ever written to Vera Konovalchik as well?
Globaladies only accepts letters 2500 characters or less. Since Allure was fabricating two page letters, it would be easier for someone to just fabricate a letter 2500 characters. Most of the responses I get are far less than even that. So it would be easier for someone to make up a shorter letter. Anyone out there see any problems with this agency?
Bret,
you do not need to worry about globaladies. I have been to Moscow, and Kiev to meet ladies that I corresponded with at GL's. They are legit. Some ladies may not write you as long a letter as you would like. Some of them still are not completely sure that they are willing to leave family and friends behind. You need to try and find a Russian community near your home, and try to find someone there that you can make friends with. Then they will be able to call your lady, interpret for you, and make her feel comfortable that she will have someone here that she has common ground with, and can talk to in her native language. Believe me, it will mean alot to her if you can show her that you are interested in her culture. just think if you were thinking about moving to Russia. How would you feel if you knew there would be Americans there that you could be a part of. Rick
How do you know that i should look out on hearing Anastasia? Have you used their services yourself. I guess it's one of the lagest companies in the matchmaking field.
Marsh. Check my topic in this forum " Email forwarding. Can we trust it?". I think it is on page 10 of this forum. It will tell you all about Anastasia! Also, check Stop-scammers.com and Agencyscams.com because Anastasia is black listed by both. If your hooked on a girl throught thier site then I would spend the expense of address and name and photo verification. I know this site here offers that service. I'm betting your girl does not exist as you know her. Good luck!
Tim, I know what you are saying about anastasia, but I have had some luck with them. It tends to get pricey, but isnt love in general. I would add my name to the list of well, it ain't terrible. :-))
Does anyone know anything about www.new-dating.com ? I have been there for a couple of weeks and so far 23 ladies have written to me asking for correspondance. Most I have not repiied to yet because I am keep hearing that I should be carefull with girls who contact me first. So far only one of them has showed up on a black list.
On all scam combatting sites they will, somewhere in the piles of advice they give, mention "free to post sites" like the one you mention, like friendfinder.com, like dating.com etc, all a scammer needs to do to get on one of these dites is post a free profile, and many allow ladies to write for free.
If you stick with fiance.com, OK it costs you to be a member but you have Olga`s eagle eye watching over the agencies and the girls here, and if you find a scammer they will be removed and blacklisted.
On all these other sites you have absolutly No protection whatsoever !!
If you find a scammer on those sites and tell the owners you are likely to get a
"So what ? Buyer beware !!!" type repy.
All these sites exist for is to make money, unlike fiance.com who have an active role in keeping scammers out and offering good advice when asled for it and when its needed.
Stick around her man, you will have much less chance of getting into something thats going to get you poor and sad !!!
Funny you should mention about the owners not caring. I emailed them about this girl showing up on several black lists and how she has disappeared and re appeared on their site under a new name,. with the very same photograph. They still haven't answered me and I just checked,........... she's still there. By the way I'm a paid member with them. Many of the girls send thier first letter to my in box asking me to contact them at their private email. I emailed a couple who disappeared after I hinted that I was looking for correspondance with an actual human female.
Deanis,
I read all the posts in the topic ("Email forwarding. Can we trust it?") you started and have some comments on the thread.
“…I am totally convinced this deal is scam! She obviously must work for the agency! What a saleswoman! Well, that was a wasted $50 phone call. I guess just because the agency is big and is american owned doesn't mean you can trust them either…”
I don’t think Anastasia is scam. I have read this post in another forum and agree with the author:
“It's unfair to portray all women listed in their site as scammers. I met my fiancée thru Anastasia; I’ve visited her in Berdyansk Ukraine twice. She the most honest amazing woman I've ever met. I never allowed myself to be scammed.”
Deanis, you say all this because of bad experience you had. Sometimes you contradict yourself saying that you wasted $50 ($60 in other post) on their phone service. But you talked, you say, to a nice girl and the fact she wanted to get to know you better first does not mean she was a scammer. To my mind it is natural to learn more about the person who is probably your prospective lifetime partner, isn’t it? Moreover you spent $300, what it is as compared with $8000 of the customer who corresponded with more than 5 ladies. Luvseeker said if you have a lot of money to spend and understand that about half the girls may not be fiancée eligible, it is still possible to meet some beautiful girls on Anastasia. Tim states as well “I know what you are saying about anastasia, but I have had some luck with them. It tends to get pricey, but isnt love in general. I would add my name to the list of well, it ain't terrible. :-)). Probably it is necessary to take more pains for lifetime partner search!
BTW Deanis, your approach to “go to girls city and hit the agency” is an imprudence from your part. You are reckless enough to go on your own to somewhere you have never been before and know nothing about the place and maybe smth about culture? Don’t you admit that you would waste more money in this case? The locals would be very glad to give you a ride at exorbitant price without batting an eyelid. The same about apartment. What a crying injustice you can say! When you go on a tour with a group it is much safer and you will always have someone to advise you. It is there job to provide you with help.
Have you heard something about competition? Apparently Agencyscams.com and Stop-scammers.com belong to Anastasia’s competitors. Black PR is their cup of tea. Have you noticed how many different banners they have? I stopped counting at 9. You think all those agencies are innocent offering their services for free! Most of them suggest membership, but they do not have Customer Service. Another question: have you ever got smth you wished for free? If “yes” then teach me, I appreciate it.
I read Anastasia Anti-Scam Policy that states: All major agencies depend on dozens, (or in Anastasia's case, several hundred) small agencies located all across the former Soviet Union to find ladies and perform services for clients. In other words, whenever a consumer purchases services from a particular agency, even a big one, he has to keep in mind that the agency itself, is in fact depending on many, many other Eastern European agencies that operate in the ladies' local cities. So, even if agency #1 is honest, they are depending on agencies #2, #3, #4, etc. If the other agencies involved are dishonest, or if a particular lady is dishonest, then the client suffers, regardless of how honestly agency #1 conducts business. So, again, a particular agency simply "being honest" is not enough to protect consumers; forceful action and serious commitment are required. In all cases where inappropriate or fraudulent behavior is found to be the case, we remove the lady from our system, fine her agency and refund our client(s)' credits or money.”
Marsh: Good point about anastasia. They seem to have the best tours (from what I have heard.)
Still, I prefer Fiance.com due to flat monthly fee, I have only continued to correspond with one lady on anastasia due to high costs. What do you think?
Jeff,
Before answering your question I read carefully all the information on both sites - Fiance.com and Anastasiaweb.com. There are some facts to compare.
Unfortunately I failed to learn how much “Monthly membership fee for Premium and V.I.P members” is. As for correspondence Fiancé site says that ladies who do not have Internet access and e-mail can receive your emails, and reply immediately from their affiliated agency offices. Current mail forwarding is $8 per letter/reply”. Anastasiaweb costs start with $3.99. The price depends on how much credits you buy at a time.
2 credits $16.00
4 Credits $30.00
8 Credits $56.00
16 Credits $96.00
32 Credits $185.00
50 Credits $249.00
100 Credits $399.00
So you can pay as little as $4 per letter if you buy credits in bulk. Now it is my turn to ask “What do you think?”
I also heard that Anastasia tours are successfully held.
Hey Marsh, you have done a useful research job… taking into consideration that you still will not buy only 2 tokens (as 2 letters are obviously not enough to get to know a lady better, especially if you are going to choose out of several women) 4-5 bucks per letter is not bad at all…
Marsh: Yes, I have a vip membership with fiance.com. IT is the better way to go than anastasis. I am really evaluating my time on that site. The vip for fiance is about 30-40 bucks a month and then all your emails, even those to who dont have private are all free! Best deal, excellent site fiance. Yes, anastasia does have good tours, but another site for you to check out is elenasmodels.com IT is owned by elena petrovka, who herself was once a russian lady seeking love abroad, and I wont bore you with details, but her story is on website. They toohave tours, so I am torn between the two sites for the tours. Also, as she recommends, meeting only one girl per visit increases your chances of success! So you may consider a private tour from fiance.com Olga has answered my questions regarding this matter and you can see it in the thread, ;new to the game. Good luck !
