The current pandemic numbers are closing in on another 600,000 in this country. Losing a greater percentage of the population did not stop the USA from going into WW II. That country with densely populated regions are ideal for spreading microorganisms. I read an article that the US Embassy in Moscow is cutting back its staff significantly. They announced that they will no longer process non-immigrant visas for Russians who want to travel to the US. They would stop all tourist travel to the US for Russians. History will always repeat itself." Trump wanted a strong military, but keep out of conflicts. Biden consults with Obama frequently. US troops were at the lowest levels since WWII under Obama. Yet, Biden again wants to get in the middle of the Ukraine Russia war and lecture China on human rights (that will not go well... as we have seen) I don't think there is a correlation between the pandemic and WWII..or as you are trying to fit in, WWIII and COVID. Old people, mostly in care homes, died of COVID. They would not be useful in wars. Plus, there was a 43 year gap between WWII (1941) and the 1918 pandemic. The US got involved in Asia because we were attacked. Public opinion put us in the European theater. I don't believe we will get attacked anytime soon, as long as Biden keeps out of other countries business. There is no public opinion on pushing to war.
