Its funny how Russia claimed to "liberate" Bulgaria when in fact they went from one tyranny to another.
AND since when has arms been considered "humanitarian aid"? Oh wait, I know, in Ukraine!!!!!
HOWEVER, in this case, Russia is on the right side in supporting Assad because without him Syria becomes yet another of Obama's failed states like Libya, Tunisia and could also have been Egypt and is still likely in Iraq, which he has managed to royal fuck up.
Unfortunately, in this case, Syria will only be stable under Assad and he can only leave through a transition that may take 2 years.
Forget about Bulgaria and Obama. When was the last time the U.S. And Russia fought a common enemy?
Hmmm , and what happened after that? Folks lets pause on our grievance and look! History is remaking itself from a prophecy written 70 ago. Russia is moving things around and Russians are not just camping out in Syria. This is another Proxy War in the making and there is something more that meets the eye.
Russia is supporting a legit tyrant but we are fighting ISIL and helping Syrians revels. What if Russian troops get hit by a USA led coalition missile?
Russian doesn't need Crimea nor Syria as strategic landmarks or protect Russian ethnicity around its borders. Their money is running low and so their economic. Something is odd and getting weird.
"Russian doesn't need Crimea nor Syria as strategic landmarks or protect Russian ethnicity around its borders."
Could be that they are trying to keep their "customer" from being replaced by someone who will no longer be a "customer". Arms and military hardware sales are a part of the economy.
"In a restaurant in the center of Moscow about 10 unidentified men of a non-Slavic appearance threw a cake at me and shouted threats at me after which they got away in their cars,"
LR, probably you heard about the island of Svalbard belongs to Norway but any country is allowed to exploit it's resources.... well they found oil , lots of oil and Russia and Norway are going to war for it.
K-dag,,, no, I didn’t know about it, and I’m not sure if that’s where this naval base is or not,, I’m thinking not. I looked it up on wiki and found it to be an interesting read, but didn’t find anything about a naval base. The big problem is that Russia wants to go up over the north pole, they aren’t satisfied with their share up to the north pole. The claim that they are making, is that their continental plate goes beyond the pole. How far I don’t know, but they are playing the bully with the U.S. Canada, Norway and the others. Russia is betting that no country will do anything about it!
