His frustration should be directed towards every single mirror he happens to look whenever he wakes up in the morning instead of trying to demonize a woman who seemingly didn't think his gifts and phone calls were good enough reason to fall madly in love with him. Newbies to this forum or the eastern european bride search in general should consider his story and claims as nothing more than a poorly concocted mix of personal misadventure, deep mistrust, false statistical claims, false personal entitlements and unrealistic expectations. Also treat it as a very real warning of what could happen to your own psyche if you refuse to accept responsibility for your own choices and actions. You may very well go 'coockoo' like he did. FACT: There are a gazillion adorable FSU women who do not depend on agencies, are well educated, attractive and SERIOUS about forming a succesful marriage with a good man to live their dreams of family lifestyle. FACT Among them, there are also scammers who will try to take advantage of you and prey on your generosity. The generosity of most western men towards these women, however, is not a what I would call a 'virtue'. If you think you're being generous for sending any woman some flowers, candy, sexy lingerie or other gifts while at the same time expecting EXCLUSIVE attention and correspondence between you, you're simply out of your mind and there is something terrible wrong your value scale. Try that crap with any western woman who lives in another state and see what happens. Do not mislead yourself to believe that just because FSU women want traditional family lifestyles they will be mesmerized and fall in love with you over a cheap bunch of flowers or a box of candy. The days of tricking the 'natives' into selling their land and themselves into slavery in exchange for mirrors and trinkets are over, mates. We must learn the ladies' hearts the old fashion way. IN PERSON..!!! AND...we must have a clear understanding and acceptance that this campaign may not render the desired results for a wide variety of reasons and imponderable factors. Get familiar with the inmigration laws of your land and the consequences to your finances and overall well being should your marriage go south after a few years. Learn to take precautions....and if you do not, do not blame anyone but yourselves for it. All in all, despite the legal inmigration obstacles, potential pitfalls and inevitable mistakes we will all make, I still believe strongly that I am much better off seeking to establish a relationship with a foreign woman than with a US one. I would only add this: when sending something to a woman, make it something personal that shows attention. If you want to receive her exclusive attention quickly, make her feel she has your exclusive attention. Flowers are nice and also things to show her that she's frequently in your mind not only on special occasions such as sending her post cards with personal notes frequently. If I recall correctly, I read the advice about post cards on elena's site (another marriage agency). This FSU woman fell for a guy from South Africa (no I don't believe it was Thunderdome:). She said she received many gifts and letters from others. This guy didn't send her bunches of flowers every other week, but bombarded her with postcards and little things that showed her attention. I followed this advice as well when courting my wife. Later she told me the attention I showed her was very important to her in that stage. From what I have gathered, attention is very important for FSU women to a larger extent than it is for western women. For example, while at the CTIA business convention in Orlando a few years ago with a female, quite attractive colleague, I offered several times to open the door for her while going to a restaurant or leaving the hotel, etc. The response I got was that she was very uncomfortable with me doing this (!) because she was not used men opening the door for her and that stereotyped her as a female as opposed to a faceless person (!) I was only doing this out of courtesy. Of course not all western women are like this, but most career women are. If one, perhaps you, is being negative, looking for reasons why they should not travel to FSU rather than being positive, looking for reasons why they should travel to the FSU then they, perhaps you, should not enter into correspondence if they are not ready to make a commitment to travel to meet and occupy some time with her. It was not being suggested that an Aussie travel 4 times each year but 'only' 4 weeks a year was talked of, reasonably standard, and in particular, 3 weeks over Christmas/New Year, an ideal opportunity to travel bearing in mind that New Year is a special time for 'couples' in FSU. Our Australian friend indicates that he only get one week of holiday during the year, not long enough to travel and 3 weeks when it is too cold to travel, what is the point of one even writing letters? The process of getting your FSU bride to Australia is very expensive and time consuming and almost impossible and Australian men need to do there research as follows: 1. Have you earnt $33,000 AUD proven before tax for the past two years? IF NO YOU CAN NOT BRING IN A RUSSIAN BRIDE YOURSELF..APPLICATION REJECTED! 2. Do you have a kids or kids from a previous relationship and are a liable parent for child support ie kids under 18...IF SO YOUR INCOME NEEDS TO BE WELL ABOVE THE MINIMUM $33,000 OTHERWISE YOU CAN BRING IN YOUR FSU BRIDE..APPLICATION REJECTED! 3.
