I have one that is pretty good but can be dry at times and overwhelming when looking for things BUT you get answers to most questions. Too much goody two shoes on RWD(site)though.........lots can be learned from logical critique( usually absent from this forum) and not enough on RWD. You can also access the data base and sign on, using the same name and password though numerous other websites - but this is the one I have been using recently. And if you pay just (I think) $5 to $15 to become a VIP member (has to do with how man days you wants such membership) you can do some very specific searches jetmba. That forum, I get the impression, is run by one guy and, as a new member, one's first few posts need to be approved before appearing and it is clearly stated this is to eliminate the 'hit and run' stealth commercial advertisers ..... a great idea! Once one has passed that then one, and all, are free to converse, there is little if any moderation yet there is none of the nonsense that appears on this forum, it is mature conversations with some friendly banter thrown in, I joined the forum for a specific purpose and, so far just touching the tip of the iceberg, I have gained so much useful knowledge from the guys on there and I shall surely learn a lot more from them once I am in a position to call upon their advice when I need it further. I truly regret how trashy this forum has become. I have some Kinda Big Stuff going on right now -- I think about posting it here, but then I see another storm of dreadful posts, and I ask myself, do I want to open my heart in a cesspool? A few weeks ago, I stumbled onto: http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/Forum/index.php (a s usual, remove any spaces that may have gotten into the above URL). I haven't spent serious time looking at it, but it has huge numbers of posts ... seems to be well organized with lots of good (or at least, well-intentioned) information ... and as far as I could see, IS FREE FROM PERSONAL CRITICISM. It certainly gave me the impression of being properly moderated. To chime in with Martin, I regularly participate in several other (non-dating) forums, and NONE of them are garbaged-up like this one. Sure, conflicts at various levels are not uncommon, but I would say that less than 1% of the posts on my other forums cross the line into rudeness (let alone, name calling, foul language, etc.) I have connected with some really good men on this forum, but pearls here are often buried under tons of landfill. Wouldn't it be nice if we could create a forum for the men who sincerely want a long and happy marriage -- and would rather focus on that, than Hatfields vs. McCoys? jetmba. There was a time in the past when certain forum members became very upset with certain goings on in this forum and formed a private forum on Yahoo. It didn't last long and the guy who actually took the initiative eventually gave up on Russian women altogether and is now teaching english in Thailand! Fianally the other sight was disbanded. This has been a great forum at various times in the past - I just wish it could be again. bowhunter Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 4/20/2010 9:03:23 AM   started a forum a year or so ago and had maybe a handful of people interested. the biggest problem with running a forum is the spammers, I still have the forum and get spammers on a daily basis and once a week or so go delete them. we had to require every new person be approved before posting. since I really don't have the time to properly moderate it I wont even give the address but you get an idea of what it takes to run one. as for me I don't even respond to the children on here and never give any one control over how I feel or what I think. the children on here who crave the attention will keep making outrageous comments to get more attention and a response. it still takes a response to make a post go down the crapper. baron555 Member send PM   block PM add to buddies Send: 4/20/2010 9:04:32 AM   Your first mistake is thinking that anyone here can offer real advice. RussianMeetingPlace and Visa Journey are real and legit and have real people there (go to the Russis-Ukraine-Belarus regional forum on VJ). I like to think that I have been able to give advice myself in the past and I know I certainly recieved advice from this very forum way back when I started. I like to relay advice in the form of true storues that have happened to me. And if others don't see situations there that they have or could face, I hope that they at least find the stories amusing or interesting. It might be that the closest anything resembling advice lately has been on scamming. Personally I've never been scammed. Thats not to say that women have never anything but pure hearted to me or that I have never received a request for money, but in the case of the former its just simple human nature, and in the case of the latter I have always been willing can capable of saying "no". I am quite familiar with Visa Journey having used it and recommended it in this forum - but not so with RussianMeetingPlace. But this time, we are having another big wave, and very few posts on serious dating questions. This is the worst imbalance (junk-to-value ratio) I have yet seen. I sometimes contact other men ... or they reach out to me ... by private message here, because some of us hesitate to open up about certain important stuff, in such a negative environment. I grieve a little, that this forum is failing to do the good job that it might have done.
