I would agree that the definition fits the extreme. For the most part, I normally equate the quality of "machismo" with the rodeo term "cowboy up". See the movie "8 Seconds" to truly understand the meaning. Most probably equate "machismo" with presence. If you equate it more with the meaning of "cowboy up", it refers to ones character. It basically means "being a man". I am unfamiliar with how people view "slavonic people". I will state (hopefully the last comment on machismo) that I view there are two ways you can approach "being a man". There are those that "be a man" relies on the opinions of others, and those where "be a man" only depends on how one views one self. Be the man you know you should be, not what you think others think you should be. Other people a Slavonic type it's a high, blond hair, with blue eyes person. In reality Slavonic people have dark hair, dark eyes, yes we are rather high.
