I wosh you'ins wood speak propper englash, like us good ole boys do down hare in North karolina. Right near hard to understood some of yawls strings :))
Every Russian woman is an individual who has her very own idea on what a real man is to her. just pick out a lady, read her profile, and see what she thinks is a real man.
I don't know if you noticed it or not Sancho, but there aren't a lot of russian women posting here. So to ask their opinion is rather fruitless I would say. I know you don't want my opinion of what a real man is so that is why I'm giving it. To me "a Real Man" is a person who puts his family first. He looks forward to the end of a work day so he can rush home to be with his wife and kids. He doesn't have to be financially well off, but does the best he can to provide for his family. He doesn't complain if his wife spends a little too much at the grocery store or on herself for that matter. He doesn't have to be a leader of men as long as he is the leader of the family. He can be short or tall, fat or skinny, ugly or handsome, but he puts his family and other people first before himself. And last but not least, a real man would never start posts that "INTENTIONALLY" tries to cause fighting and disruption in this forum.
Dale I agree with you completely. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly among us are 'real men' according to your criteria.
From what I have read, heard spoken of here, and learned from Lucy, many FSU women have given up looking for a man in their own towns and country. They want real men who love and value them and their children - but also who take real iniative in the relationship. Lucy set me straight on this one time when she said "The man takes the iniative, the woman follows." It is amazing to me that a FSU woman can be so mistreated by a man who has abused their headship role, yet still know that it is right and good for it to be this way.
I think that the right way for a man to be the head is to do it with great respect for his woman, and humility, and kindness. And while Lu wants me to iniate, she still fully expects to be a full partner in the decisions and direction of our relationship and possible future life together. She wants to 'discuss everything', but once she knows that I have truly listened to her and valued her highly, then she is very happy to follow my lead or embrace my decision.
My x-swine always saw things her way alone, wanted her own way in everything, and was contemptous towards anyone who did not see it her way all the time. Made being any kind of man quite difficult - let alone a real man. I faithfully hung in there many long years for my kids sake (would have stayed to the end for them, but she made it easy by leaving me and the kids).
you just described my role model and father. Doesn't take to much thinking to tell what a real man is. In all the years I was around my Dad I didn't hear him bitch about anything life dealt him. I can't say that personally, I have a lot of his traits but I can't fill his shoes.
Ens, I love the ex-swine touch!! Sounds like she was related to my Ex.
Along with being an obnoxious drunk.Which was pretty much daily.
ensanta, my X was the same and she was Russian. Good and bad inhabit all corners of the earth so please do not take what any girls says about fsu woman to be anything but they personal view. I only say this as not to stereo type any girl. Some russian woman are worse than these western ones.
"....in Sweden a Muslim immigrant killed his daughter (26 y o)
after she married a swedish man.
-'Honour Killing' from head of family ...."
Just another one of the innumerable amount of religion related reasons why E.T. and his friends/relatives to this day still refuse to make direct and open contact with our race....(the human race, that is).....can't say I hold it against them, though.
I'm pretty sure this muslim inmigrant felt very 'manly' while he killed his own daughter....(as I roll my eyes in disgust and complete rejection of this barbaric practice of a faith muslims still try to sell the rest of the world as one of love, peace and moderation)
Hey toad, I have seen many stories to this regard about muslims but old practises of cristians are no better and in some of these middle east countries, they are living 2000 years in the past, comparitively, so lets not beat up muslims, religion in total has a shocking history, and as and english soccer fan said, when we are good, they never remeber, when we are bad, they never forget.
"....She wants to 'discuss everything', but once she knows that I have truly listened to her and valued her highly, then she is very happy to follow my lead or embrace my decision....."
Ensata,
You have won the marriage lottery!!!!!
The paragraph you describe above is the fundamental pillar of EVERY marriage you see out there between people who still walk side by side holding hands AFTER 30-40-50 friecking years of marriage...:))
ID,
please do not misunderstand me....the comment was specifically tying the meaning of manhood to the somewhat irrelevant and unhelpful post sanchopanza placed to make his point about...er.....who the hell knows what his point is?????
I am a devout EORR (Equal Opportunity Religion Rejector..:)))
I'm too much of a pragmatist to find the solace in religion that Ensata or others find in theirs.
To each their own...but damn it, stop bombing clinics or killing relatives because your faith tells you to do it....sshhheeessshhh.
