Being new here you have not learned the value systems of the Russian women, there fore you can not yet appreciate them but after some experience you will understand what I am saying. I don't think 50 and 60 year old women will have children to worry you. generally Russian woman marry later in their teens and have families right away. This is their purpose to make a home and care for a family. I believe that out of 13,441 women here you can have what ever you want. I want to say that I really enjoy this forum and the info I gain off it. I am currently going into a one on one correspondence with a 28 yr old lady from Latvia (I am 34) and the kid thing is not an issue. Like Pithka said earlier she just wants someone she can rely on. There are many girls, and for some to have the family is the goal of their life, they will leave the work after getting married or after giving the birth of the first child and will stay at home to look after the children and to take care about their families. There are some who want to have a good job and they concentrate on it and they will never get married early. There are lots of cases when people get married because the girl is pregnant. Often this happens in the age of 18-19. In many families there are still ideas that the girl who is not married until 20 or 30 years old is a hopeless girl, and their families do everything to get them married until this age. And so on and so forth. Though ID is correct that girls go to Universities and Institutes but different girls have different goals. Some want to have an education and then start working, some just need a diploma because their parents told them to get it, some go to the University or Institute just to find a husband...because in Universities or Institutes there is a bigger chance to find a good man!!! On the whole I make statements of fact, such as it is a fact that women in the FSU typically marry at an early age and have families because these are the facts not my opinion. As I have stated many times already I do the research and do not shoot from the hip. After 1 year after our graduation what we have...we have 4 married girls, and all the rest are not married. From the not married part of 17 girls, only about 8 date for a long time (I mean for over a year and more). What did I want to show is...that we all have different goals. Only about 1/3 of all girls goes to University to find a husband, and these girls don't care about their own education. All the rest care about their education in this or that degree. But you can't say that women from FSU would rather get married then go to study, this is not true. There are many girls and all have their own goals. As for me, as an example, I went to the University because I wanted to get the education to develop personally and in future to get a good job which I will like. I thought that there (in the University) I would probably meet a man with whom we will date, but this was somewhere in the background of my mind. Well this happened and I'm very happy:) We both are very happy:) But at the same time I didn't leave the University and studied more, went to the course to get Master's degree. And my boyfriend wants me to go to study at post-graduate course. I don't boast, I never do, I just want to show that all girls have their own ideas on what their future should be. Out of 21 girls, none except me continued studying to get the Master degree. It means that they just didn't want and need this. And let me share a little secret, I doubt that the majority of girls can be made to do what she doesn't like to. She can be made only if her parents are a big authority to her and they tell her what to do, if there is something or somebody thretening her and her family. Is it true a lot of the men abuse alcohol and are not inclined to marry when they can move from one woman to another. Is it true that there are 13 females to 10 males in Russia disproportionate to the loss of men to war? In Russia the women today are marrying at a very early age compared to my country, not sure about Ukraine or Australia where Id is from. I understand that women have different goals, different ideals, this thing about marraige and age with Id has nothing to do with women in FSU or the age they marry it is about personalities and conflict. We can split hairs but in Russia it is a fact women marry early over 40 percent marry by 21 and the main goal today still, is to have a family even though secondary education has risen along with the age to marraige rate. Well I have met such a thing that some girls want to get married with a man who has already developed as a personality and who has already achieved something in life, they have no wish to get married with a man of their age or 2-4 years older as this means that they will have to get through the hard times of earning money, of achieving something, of developing as a personality. We have a saying "to be with a general, a girl should get married with a lieutenant", so some girls have no wish to get married with a "lieutenant", but to get married with a "general" at once. Well, there are alcoholics like everywhere. But to say that a lot of men abuse alcohol, I can't say this. Well men drink, but it's not that terrible. It's not abusing, but a beer or 2 after work, or going to the bar with friends 1-2 times a week...it's not much. It's not alcoholism, and from my experience I know many young men who either don't drink at all, who drink not much. And I know that this degree of drinking doesn't influence the life in any aspect. Well I think the situation as with drinking, there are such men. But to say that all men are like that, I can't say this!!! I just know that when my parents were visiting Rostov region every week, they were shocked to know how much people (men, women, elderly people, teenagers, even children) drink!!! When they returned after several times of visiting Rostov region (they stayed there for 3-4 days a week), my dad said: "There are no alcoholics in Ukraine if to compare with Rostov region". I am married with a girl from Ukraine that I met through correspondence via the fiance.com site before it was re-named to fiance. We are happily married for more than a year now. When I first introduced myself to her, I wrote to her about family and children, etc. I never had children and never was crazy about having children, but did not fundamentally object to the idea either. My wife definitely wants children, she made it clear from the beginning and still passionately wants to have children at some point in our life. I want to say, it makes me happy and proud that my wife wants my children. What can really make a man happier? Unless you are fundamentally opposed to having children for any reason, I believe if you find the right person, you're going to want to have children. My wife now goes to college, so for another couple of years it's not going to happen, but after she gets a job, we'll definitely go for it at least once. Let me give you a couple other examples from my experiences that might help further. In my online dating adventure, I also met another girl from the same country. This girl turned out to be a proven hooker or close to that. That girl did not want chidren. I am not saying by any means that there is a correlation betwen a woman's character and the woman's desire to have children. However, if a woman simply wants to go to another country and get a visa, chances are she's not going to want long term committments that might reduce her flexibility. Also, one of the Russian girls my wife became friends with here in the USA is married with an American. They met in Russia (not through correspondence, but that is not relevant). This girl is what you'd call wild party girl in every sense of the term. I won't go to significant detail, but she also wants a kid ... and she's decided to have it. She is going to her country and she's planning to have sex with a guy who looks like the husband and when she gets pregnant, she'll present it as an accident. This girl is in modeling, parties frequently, some drugs and stuff like that. So, two points here. First, most women want children as it is in women's nature to want children more than in men's nature, and second, when a woman really wants something, she will get it and you don't want her to get it somewhere else. My advice to the gentleman is make sure you make it clear from the beginning that you don't want children and make sure that the girl who says she does not want chidlren she means this genuinely and she is not just agreeing with you to get you to marry her. Wess- even a local disagrees with you but still you persist with reseached book and internet figures. Many many girls I have met, and a friend of mine has met in Russia are going to college and and look for a forien husban. When He or I have met them and all was well, they still ask us to wait untill the study is finished, maybe 2-3 years. I met a girl in Ukraine who had good english (just as friend) and had met the man of he dreams from belgum. He was always calling her wanting to arrange another trip and even for he to go there, but she only had time during he holidays from study and only when he coarse was finished would she go to belgum, and dose want to go. These are not figures wess, these are true life personal stories that you figure do not agree with so dose that make them more correct than your figures or are they not true because you did not see them on the internet?? If only one or two sources said this there might be some speculation that the statistical data is flawed but when all the sources say the same things then I have to follow that it is accurate. I give you the sources to check out the data and make your own decision, why don't you do some research yourself and then provide the demographics to support your opinion and perhaps I might be swayed to your side. Just because some women do not get married when they are attending school does not mean that many young women do get married and finish school. Just look here at the girls that are 18 and 19 years old that are seeking a husband and that should be a clue. many of these are in school too. We have schools here in the states and they can go here after they arrive many do. You just have a terrible habit of disregarding the truth with your generalizations Id.
