Dale...
Are you telling me clergy men are pure??????????
Ensata may be the first in line for sainthood is he is a man of integrity and honor, but I am sure he was that long before he doned his clergy habit, robe or whatever the hell it is he wears while he practices it...
" Yeah, but the worst part is when they call upon YOU to unplug the toilet."
Many years ago when I was in the hotel trade, the ladies loos in the ballroom would get backed up every weekend !! I was the lucky one who got to lift the manhole cover and use hooks, buckets of water, acid etc to clear them !!!
Let it never be said that I havnt doen my bit of unblocking the toilet for women !!! Usually a 100 of the biggers at one time too !!! Never even got a thank you for it from them either !!

"long before he doned his clergy habit, robe or whatever the hell it is he wears while he practices it..." GT what do you wear when you practice "it"? (opps! their goes my sainthood again)
But you are right, it does not matter what a person does for a living, but rather who that person is. He will bring who he is to whatever he does.
Agree 1000%, Ensata. That's why I always disagree with anyone who says money is the root of all evil.
Money or power only make you more of what you already are.
Just read some past posts and I feel it makes perfect sense to keep tobasco sauce in the bathroom - never know where you will be when the nead hits you for a good bloody mary.
I am a fairly religious man myself though no practicing member of the clergy ("How do you get to St Peter's Basilica? Ya gotta practice (religion).")
But sometimes if seems that God works in mysterious ways. When things finally DID get physical with my Moldovan - I discovered I had brought less ...ahem... condoms than I thought I had. She refused to participate in buying any more (she said she was embarrassed - and of course I couldn't - didn't know the words). What to do?
I had a "secret hiding place" in the hotel - above a carved bureau and way back near the wall - for my wallet whenever I was in the hotel - or at night. I thought I was quite clever for finding this place.
One day I reached up to retrieve my wallet and low-and-behold (the God part) I felt something else up there. Reaching up again I found a semi dusty (but dated good until 12/05) box of condoms!! Saints be praised.
I disagree, money doesn't make you more of what you're...it just gives a more comfotable life, when you don't have to worry what to eat tomorrow, how to pay the public utilities, for hat to buy clothes...but it's not more then that (ok ok it's just my opinion, so I say for me money is not more then that). I always had a dream to have the money enough for my needs, which as time showed didn't change much and don'tinclude fashionable cars, or a big house, or a new dress for each day and so on...so my opinion is above:)
I spend some time trying to think of the correct response to this just to remember Ayn Rand already said it for me.
"So you think that money is the root of all evil?" said Francisco d'Anconia. "Have you ever asked what is the root of money? Money is a tool of exchange, which can't exist unless there are goods produced and men able to produce them. Money is the material shape of the principle that men who wish to deal with one another must deal by trade and give value for value. Money is not the tool of the moochers, who claim your product by tears, or of the looters, who take it from you by force. Money is made possible only by the men who produce. Is this what you consider evil?"
Jet, quite the testimony! You know on occassional Sundays we ask members of the congregation to 'share testimonies' about what God has done for them. Feel free to stop by the church next time you are in Masachusetts. I'm sure the good people here will respond to your miracle with hearty 'amens' (especially dear old Dad , who sleeps through most of what goes on there.)>
You also answered my condom question posted here earlier. I will bring no condoms to Moldova (not that I would be in a posistion to need them, mind you). If temptation does rear its ugly head I willmerely pray to Saint Peter for my miricle supply of the fugly things!
