The fact that I and others can come here or elsewhere and speak out our views about the president, and others proves the strength of American democracy. If it wasn't for the damn republicans, this country would be so much better. We still need the republicans’ participation as a counterweight, but at no more than 1/3 of the popular vote and no more than 1/3 the legislative bodies. In fact, I am happy the Bushy was elected this time around because he screwed up so bad during his first term that any other president would have a hell of a hard time to cope with all the shit that's coming up every day and all the problems. And you know the coward republicans would have accused a democratic president for all the sit their own administration created during the first four years. You make wild claims without substantiation. 10 BILLION by CIA to YUSCHENKO. Document this with a little more than I read this in the local papers. Then it is the Bush Lied about WMD's. Then Everyone from the President Down in the previous Administration declares Hussein has WMD's. Though Georgie boy lied. It bothers me that this is style of politicizing is harmful to the people who are putting there lives in harms way. Remember this is a volunteer military, but you demean their service as nothing more than government employees. At least government employees have redress through the constitution, a military man does not. He gives up his rights and is governed by the UCMJ. Again you miss the boat on tax cuts. Increase in taxatation stagnates federal revenue. You attempt to tax the wealthiest 2% of America, they find a loophole to hide or shelter the money. If you read your history or study other ideologies, a graduated income tax is one of the ten planks of the communist manifesto. With tax cuts you encourage venture capital, you encourage investment and growth. You should be rewarded for the risk you take with your money. Taxation is redistribution of wealth. Pensions are managed in a similar fashion as mutual funds. Pension managers aren't going to invest the funds if they can't get a good return for their clients. Social security has been a scam from day one. I did a model a few years ago as to what I will have under the projected socialist security model and what I would have if I was able to invest that money in a private portfolio. Social Security does not create one job or secure anyone with future income. The people now who are in their 40's and 50's will probably never see one socialist security check in their retirement years because congress has used that money, and a good Clinton trick was to shore up the deficits with social security revenues, that was smoke and mirrors. Since the 60's social security was a robbed fund, but people were told that there was this secure lockbox of money for their retirements, when in essence the money was used as a general fund for all kinds of social engineering. Talk about redistribution of wealth. You talk about lobbies, and claim the lobbies only throw money the GOP's way. What about George Soro's and many others of his ilk that use the Open Insitute, NED and various other NGO's to support Democrats. Oh that's okay that's not evil. First of all I don't support finance campaign reform, I find it Okay that Soro's wants to put his money where his mouth is, but I don't like how the GOP is evil because of lobbies. There are lobbies on both sides. In America you vote with your dollars or you vote with your feet. But when the money goes the GOP's way, it's evil it's illegal etc. But then you forget about Johnny Chung, Charlie Trie and the coffee clubs that funneled Chinese money into a certain Presidents campaign. Then make a wild statement that the CIA gave Yushcenko 10 billion without any evidence. Yes that is the liberal stance now. It's not about whether there has been a crime comitted, it's about the seriousness of the Charge. I wonder what you will say when Delays case is either dropped, or he is acquitted because of a political railroad campaign by an out of control prosecutor? The CIA funneled money to Delay for his defense? I have no phobia of liberals, but I will hold them accountable when they make baseless wild claims without any evidence. I support the right to be different in political views, it's just the liberals now have no agenda, no plan for growth, they are impotent. They are like a ship foundering at sea, with no direction. I don't work for the CIA, so sorry I can't give you any insider information, I have to rely on publicly available information. The story about the 1 billion going to Ukraine's orange revolution project has been highly publicized, it's no secret. I don't demean the service of military. I value the service of the military just like I value the service of any honest, hard working people. Why is military service of more value than the work of other people? Have you noticed that the military at the lowest ranks now consists mostly of minorities? Why is that? perhaps because these people are poor, jobless and have no other prospects, but signing to go to war? How many contract workers go to Iraq because they have no job in the states and because they are lured by the rewards? It is very saddening that the only one member of the Congress has his child in the military in Iraq. The people who make decisions to send other people to their death do not have the nerve to put their own children in harm's way. This is just pathetic. If Bush and his buddies are so convinced the war is a good war to fight why don't they send their own children to fight? you said this military is voluntary .. why don't they volunteer? why Bush doesn't send his flamboyant daughters to Baghdad? they do take women in the military! Hence, those in the administration who devised the war, don't believe in it and don't have the guts to admit it was a wrong war and it's been a disaster. Then you suggest that the soldiers in the field are more confident about the “cause” of their mission than the administration, which sent them there? Well, I don’t buy this. I believe the military is getting paid to do what they’re supposed to do and are no better than others. There are no guarantees that tax cuts to the wealthiest stay in the country and are utilized in order to expand the domestic economy. It is a myth that tax cuts to the very wealthy help the U.S. economy. In the era of globalization, tax cuts go where the money produces the highest returns. Currently the highest returns are in China, India and a few other destinations and that's exactly where the money from tax cuts is going. These countries cannot currently absorb fast enough the money that’s coming in. The middle class guy has no means to funnel tax cuts to China (if he had any), he just doesn't have the means. The 2% of the wealthiest people can move hundreds of millions overseas and they do so. Don't forget that the 2% of the wealthiest entities also includes corporations, which have been in an outsourcing and off-shoring spree the last 5 years. I know this from personal experience. What Kerry wanted to do was to eliminate the Bush tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans and the corporations, and give tax relief to the middle class, so the middle class can spend more in America (this is an important notation) and invest in America. What you say about reward for assuming risk is common sense, i.e. so what? From my personal standpoint, I would much rather prefer to keep my social security contributions because I know how to invest. However, the guy who works at Wal-Mart and gets paid minimum wage don't know how to invest and most likely he won't even put the money in the bank and will end up on welfare when he can't work anymore. Aside from the ethical aspect of it, which you as a very ethical libertarian should understand better than me the low standards liberal, have you thought at all about the consequences of having tens of millions of senior citizens who have nowhere to go and no means to support themselves? Mind you take it a step further since you're a historical expert? you know what has always happened when too many people were starving? the answer is: revolution. Should I mention the French Revolution, the Bolshevik revolution or even the recent riots in Paris? I've traveled to several countries of the soviet block during the cold war (and I stayed for several months in one of these), but not to the soviet union, it was too difficult to get a visa back then. Even if you did went there, you'd be confined to a specific trip itinerary and you'd not be able to socialize with the public. If you're not going to elaborate on your "experiences", then you're just throwing shit hoping it sticks (which makes you unworthy of further conversation). I missed you. What I do find sad is that all of the "CRAP" that continues seems to be nothing more than the daily funny pages. Self-expression is one thing. But constant fighting that at times becomes downright hateful and in poor taste is turning many people away. I am sure there are more than a few who discover this forum only to be turned off by the questionable behavior and antics that go on. It is turning into a place with no real dialogue for true seekers of information. I understand that monitoring a forum is time consuming. But gee-whiz already! The slanderous attacking of other members seems to be going too far. No, it does not seem so, it is so. There comes a point when enough is enough. To let this continue to be sludge in the gutter is a disservice to the new people who may actually be looking for a decent conversation and some real advice. Just my opinion of course... I am by no means an expert on FSU women. But I happen to be married to a very lovely lady from Russia. And I have a friend who has been married seven years to a Russian lady. I have 'met' a few other Russians through my wife and have had a chance to hear their stories and experiences. And we have met others just by chance. And I can truly say to those who seek that it is not all a scam. There are real people hoping to meet a nice guy. But if they read the 'crap' that goes on in this forum they should be skeptical about the quality of men available. So it is up to you to encourage women by not allowing this adolescent behavior to be broadcast for all to see. If I was trying to sell a product I would be sure to make it desirable. If, of course, that is what you want. If you just want it to portray the men as fools, then you are doing a good job.
