Just remember what may not work for you may work for another person. Don't forget the correspondence. I don't know about some guys, but I know about me. I don't care how attractive the "Babes" are, if when they walk their heads rattle like a bag of marbles. I had girls writing me from the age of 27 to the age of 44, some were babes, some were not. If a man really pays attention here to what is written to him, he won't make a wasted trip to the FSU. One if a woman corresponds with you for a real long time without asking for money chances are she is legitimate. I had written Larisa for six months before I went to visit her. Most girls will drop their correspondence way before then. But if a girl really likes you and wants to be at the top of the heap, she will continue to write. They know as we know we are mostly writing more than one person. So what's it going to take to make it the one? At 44 Larisa looks like she's in her late twenties, my daughter accused me of robbing the cradle. Also at 44 her head is wrapped very tight, she knows what she wants and she knows who she is and she has no baggage. So if you guys are just trophy hunting, keep jumping on the planes, keep meeting 2 girls a day and I think your frustration will be at the same level it is now. If you can get a look inside a ladys head, you will know whether it's worth making the trip. Ok you've got some good advice, but don't generalize. My wife and I have an age difference of 15.5 years, are married two and a half years, and we're doing really great. If I married someone else perhaps closer to my age, chances are the marriage would not be as good as my marriage to my wife is. Success depends on the individuals and the chemistry between them, not on the age difference between them. I would not trade what I have in my marriage for anything in the world, and frankly I feel very lucky that I have a happy marriage with a young woman rather than an older woman. However, even if I could turn back time, and met my wife again and she was say ten years older than she was when I first met her, I would with absolutely no doubt marry her again. Mike, you are correct about the same approach not working for everyone. You already have a child so finding a woman of 44 who is outside of her child-bearing years is a practical choice for you. I am not surprised to learn that your correspondence was successful and she may well be a wonderful woman. At 44 she is well beyond the age that draws the most attention. In fact, many agencies even offer free contact information for women over 35 because there isn't sufficient demand. It is chemistry, but most women don't have my background, Remember I cleaned toilets in the Navy, life experiences etc, that a 20 something can not remotely have. Also I am confident in my own life, that I don't have to have a 20 something trophy hanging off of my arm to make me feel good. I know many 40 years olds that put many 20 year olds to shame. But many a mans ego requires for him to feel virule to have a younger woman on his arm. I don't need it and that's just me. I had to chuckle when a 24 year old from Minsk wrote me. I said thanks but I have a daughter you age. RK Papa Smurf does stay in great shape, I have his workout regimine at home and I try to follow it. Us old guys can still stay in shape with the younger lads. In regards to my daughter, It wouldn't matter how old my future wife was, but in reality there are times my daughter and I have problems relating to different situations in todays life due to our age difference. I love my daughter very much, but I couldn't live with someone everyday just like her. It's just differences in experience and life. Like I said in another post, what may work for one person, may not work for another.
