The comments made by TimH and tradman about Russian women not using sex as a weapon is SO counter to my experiences with American women (I've gotten so used to American women being like this, that I've basically assumed it was just a common sense fact of life) that I couldn't help but think that reason alone would make Russian women sound too good to be true. Of course, I have to adopt a healthy degree of skepticism with anything that sounds too good to be true. So I would like to ask some questions to those who seem to have direct experience with this subject (TimH, tradman, gladiatorUK and any others are welcome to chime in). 1. Is this level of maturity about sex independent of age? 2. How many Russian women have all you guys dated? And did you find that in general most of the women acted like this? 3. How "Americanized" were these women? Do Russian women who get married here or live here for an extended period of time still act like this? 4. In your opinion, how are Russian women raised differently from American women that they have such a mature approach towards sex? BTW, this is another question for tradman. I hope you don't think I'm being too nosy, but I was just curious as to the things you DIDN'T like about your Russian girl and why things didn't work out between you. In three years she was an absolutely American styled feminist. 4.) Religion has influenced much of western culture to associate guilt with sex. Under the Soviet system, of course, religion was discouraged. I think that alone is a major factor in the difference in attitude. (This is not to knock religion by any means. Excuse the delay in reply, but I am just back from Holland, I went to meet a Russian girl who was visiting a Russian friend who had married there, I am not sure she is the one, but what a lovely girl, she turned down the sex( I know it's double standards guys) but this made me respect her even more, she made no mention of her financial circumstances, was very tactile and cried at the airport. I have to say that I have neverlaid eyes on any girl as feminine as she is. Having said that, her friend who was lovely(only because I wasn't married to her.:)) gave her husband a really hard time, shopped all day and was very difficult, I advised him to put his foot down, didn;t seem able to, maybe that is the emancipated western man for you. As an aside, the girl asked if I would meet her in Turkey in 4 weeks which I agreed to, she made no mention of money, but I expect she wants me to pay, butit is not much to me and maybe a years salary to her, I don't mind, they expect a man to pay and didn't everything go worong when women started wanting to pay their way?
